    • There is described a padded element comprising a foam substrate having disposed therein a first internal surface and a second internal surface opposed to the first internal surface, the first internal surface being interposed between an outer surface of the foam substrate and the second internal surface, at least one of the first internal surface and the second internal surface comprising a textured portion.     • The subject of the invention are a method for making building unit with reinforcing wire mesh and a building unit made by this method. During one method the wire mesh (2) is fixed into the surface layer of the polystyrene panel (1) in such a manner, that the polystyrene panel (1) together with the wire mesh (2) laid on it is pushed through below a preheated rotating cylinder (4) and the wire mesh (2) is fixed into this melted layer of said panel. During another method the wire mesh (2) is fixed into the surface layer of the polystyrene panel (1) in such a manner, that the polystyrene panel (1) together with the wire mesh laid on it, is slightly pressed with a pre-heated profile (5) and the wire mesh (2) is fixed into this melted layer of said panel. An upper mold (16) is closed against the lower mold to define a mold cavity therebetween surrounding the sensor mat. A fluid foam (52) material is injected into the cavity (42) and around the sensor mat. The foam material is cured with the cavity to form a resilient foam pad with the sensor mat securely embedded in the foam pad at the predetermined position and the trim cover bonded to the foam pad.
