    • A rotatable apparatus for introducing and dispersing a fluid, such as gas or liquid, in a liquid has outwardly and rearwardly projecting blades about its periphery and air exit ports immediately rearward of said blades. In one embodiment, the apparatus is an aerator having an upper body, a lower body and replaceable blades affixed between the upper and lower bodies. The blades have a body portion positioned between the upper and lower bodies and a projecting portion extending radially outwards. The upper body has an axial bore which is connected to a rotatable hollow tube open to the atmosphere. As the aerator is rotated by rotation of the tube, air is drawn through the tube into the body of the aerator and is ejected through air exit ports between the blades into the liquid. In another embodiment, the aerator has a plurality of radially extending tubes with air exit ports and radially extending blades proximate their outer ends.

    • An apparatus and method are disclosed for rapidly and efficiently dissolving gases in a liquid. A diffuser (10), including a closed top hollow device (18), preferably a hollow conical, shaped frustum (12) having a plurality of openings (20) around the perimeter near the closed top is submerged in the liquid and rotated at relatively high speeds creating a centrifuge-pump. When the rotating diffuser (10) is located near the surface of the liquid, no additional gas is required in the dissolution process. When the device is submerged substantially below the surface or if a gas other than oxygen is to be dissolved, then additional gas must be pumped into the bottom opening of the rotating diffuser. This device can be used in oxygenating treated sewage water, removing impurities from liquids, and for oxygenating horticultural ponds to increase production.

    • A multi-function fluid treatment system (10) which can filter liquids or diffuse gases into liquids. To achieve filtration, the system (10) includes a housing (150) with multiple, closely-spaced filter cartridges (12, 14, 16) therein. The cartridges (12, 14, 16) are connected to a drive system (632) which rotates them in unison. Fluids to be filtered enter the housing (150) and surround the rotating cartridges (12, 14, 16). Cartridge rotation scrubs solids from the cartridges (12, 14, 16) and promotes fluid flow into the cartridges (12, 14, 16). Filtered fluids collected within the cartridges (12, 14, 16) thereafter exit the system (10). To achieve gas diffusion, the housing (150) is filled with a selected liquid (840). During cartridge rotation as discussed above, a gas (802) is introduced into the interior of each cartridge (12, 14, 16) which is constructed of a porous material. The gas (802) diffuses outwardly during cartridge rotation, causing substantial mixing of the gas (802) and fluid (840), with gas diffusion into the fluid (840). Cartridge rotation also prevents solids from accumulating thereon to achieve maximum gas delivery.

    • A system and method of flavoring food includes a metering tray coupled to a frame. The metering tray may be configured to hold a food flavoring. A metering roller also may be coupled to the frame. An exterior axial surface of the metering roller may define a plurality of indentations, which may be configured to capture the food flavoring as the metering roller rotates. The system may also include a metering blade and a displacement; each may be coupled to the frame. The metering blade may be configured to level the food flavoring as the food flavoring is dispensed by the plurality of indentations of the metering roller as the metering roller rotates. The displacement blade may have a plurality of teeth that are configured to correspond to the plurality of indentations. The teeth may be configured to positively displace the food flavoring as the metering roller rotates.
