    • A game which seeks to exercise and improve the interpersonal skills of players of the game by arranging for the players to enter into fictional interpersonal relationships. In one embodiment the gaming apparatus comprises a first set of playing portions (10) and a second set of playing portions. Each player has two game pieces, one being associated with the first player portion (10) and the other with the second player portion. The player moves their first piece on the first playing portion (10). Some playing portions are associated with instructions which enable the player to simulate an interpersonal relationship with another player. Success in simulating this interpersonal relationship at least in part governs the movement of the player second piece over the second playing portions. The aim of the game is to pass through a number of stages of the second playing portions to reach the highest stage and therefore win the game.

    • A board game for teaching the principles of personal finance whereby significant wealth may be accumulated includes a playing board having a first, Rat Race, track and an entirely separate second, Fast Track. Each player begins the game on the Rat Race track and is provided with a Game Card to track his/her finances. The Game Card is configured as a combined Income/Balance Sheet, and basic accounting rules of personal finance are carefully followed in updating the Game Card while a player progresses along the Rat Race according to the roll of die. The Rat Race track includes spaces on which a player can land which presents unexpected financial obstacles, but the Rat Race also includes spaces which present financial opportunities. By prudently investing as opportunities arise, a player may obtain passive income in addition to a salary. Once a player's passive income exceeds his/her expenses, the player moves to the Fast Track for further play. On the Fast Track, a player enjoys the greatly improved life of one who has accumulated significant wealth. However, provision is made for unexpected problems in various Fast Track spaces along which a player moves. Thus, a player's ongoing financial condition while on the Fast Track is also carefully updated using basic accounting principles of personal finance. The game is played in accordance with formal rules which include provisions for declaring a winner.

    • A modular illustration board provides a customizable surface for illustration thereon. A plurality of modular tiles is provided. Each tile defines an upper surface, a lower surface, and a plurality of edges forming a shape capable of monohedral tessellation. Each upper surface has permanent indicia visible thereon and is fabricated from a material capable of readily receiving non-permanent indicia thereon and allowing for speedy and convenient erasure thereof. Each lower surface is of a frictional material configured to establish and maintain frictional engagement with a support surface. At least one connector is disposed along each edge of each tile and is configured to allow the edge to be releasably connected to an edge of an adjacent tile. When the plurality of modular tiles are connected, the upper surfaces of the tiles cooperate to form a surface for illustration thereon.
