The assembly includes a base engaged with at least one connector and in fluid communication with a hose or fluid source for allowing the gaseous flowthrough between the at least one connector, the base and the hose or fluid source. The assembly further includes a pair of sockets engaged with the at least one connector, and a pair of posts, each post selectively engageable with at least one of the pair of sockets. Each post includes a flange that defines an opening therethrough, the openings in fluid communication with each corresponding socket of the pair of sockets. Each post further includes an adhesive adhered to each flange and configured for sealably engaging a patient's nare.

The tube includes a plurality of units of cutout segments which are distributed in band around a circumference of the tube. A tube can have multiple different zones, each having units with varying cutout segments. The cutout segments can have varying cutout surface area allowing the flexibility of the tube to be modified at any point along the tube by altering the cutout surface area with zones having greater cutout surface areas as compared to another zone are more flexible. The tube can be incorporated into a catheter.

摘要： Devices and methods for providing an elastically deforming guidewire tip, capable of withstanding the extreme forces of high-speed rotational atherectomy, in particular orbital motion induced by an eccentric abrasive head, are disclosed. In certain embodiments, the reformable tip comprises an inner nitinol support coil, wherein the reformable tip may be attached to a larger proximal core for improved kink resistance and support for delivering adjunctive devices. In other embodiments, an inner nitinol support coil may be wrapped with a braided coil and/or a polymer sleeve. The resulting tip is more flexible with reduced risk of perforation than known guidewire tips.
