摘要： Thin-film multi-electrode arrays (MEA) having one or more electrically conductive beams conformally encapsulated in a seamless block of electrically insulating material, and methods of fabricating such MEAs using reproducible, microfabrication processes. One or more electrically conductive traces are formed on scaffold material that is subsequently removed to suspend the traces over a substrate by support portions of the trace beam in contact with the substrate. By encapsulating the suspended traces, either individually or together, with a single continuous layer of an electrically insulating material, a seamless block of electrically insulating material is formed that conforms to the shape of the trace beam structure, including any trace backings which provide suspension support. Electrical contacts, electrodes, or leads of the traces are exposed from the encapsulated trace beam structure by removing the substrate.

摘要： Disclosed herein are therapeutic agent carrier compositions that include a carrier comprised of a stimulus sensitive gel, fibrin, or combinations thereof, and a therapeutic agent such as an aqueous insoluble or confined radioisotope. Stimulus sensitive gels include thermally reversible stimulus-sensitive gels that are linear random copolymers of a [meth-]acrylamide derivative and a hydrophilic comonomer; thermogelling biodegradable polymers, which include biodegradable polymers including a linked polyethylene glycol (PEG) block and biodegradable polyester block; and enzymatically degradable polypeptide poylmers. In certain embodiments the therapeutic agent is a hydrothermally synthesized radioactive therapeutic agent, such a 90-yttrium phosphate colloid. Methods of making such carver compositions and methods of using such carrier compositions to treat diseases such as cancer also are disclosed. For example, the carrier compositions can be injected into a tumor to treat a cancer and can be applied to the margins of a resected tumor to destroy vestigal cancer cells.

摘要： Timed-bioresorbable particulates, particularly microspheres or fibers, may be used as a vehicle for delivery of radioisotopes, such as Y-90 and Pd-103 for localized radiotherapy, or as an embolic device. These particulates may also be embedded in polymers, or dispersed in injectable gels or other injectable media for the treatment of various cancers. The benefit of bioresorption, the ability to control the ratio of radioisotopes in the particulate, especially the gamma and beta ratios such as In- 111/Y-90 ratio in a particulate, and the benefit of non-conductive implants are disclosed.

摘要： Methods of treating tumors, lesions, and cancers comprising delivering to the affected site a combination of peroxide and hypochlorite anion. Hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite are possible sources of peroxide and hypochlorite anion, respectively. The reactants may be injected simultaneously or sequentially, and combine at the site to produce singlet oxygen. Singlet oxygen may be delivered to the treatment site or generated at the treatment site. Isotopes are also synergistically used in conjunction with singlet oxygen. The isotopes may be radioactive isotopes, non-radioactive isotopes, or both.

The invention also includes a process for preparing a stable, sterile lyophilizate of macroaggregate particles of human serum albumin consisting of steps 1-7.
