摘要： A lift ito facilitate access to swimming pools and spas. The lift includes a base and a mast extending therefrom. An arm pivotally connects to the mast. A seat assembly connects to the arm. An overhead support is positioned above the seat assembly. A first actuator moves the arm about the mast, thereby moving the seat assembly between raised and lowered positions, to bring the seat assembly out of and into a pool. A second actuator rotates the seat assembly relative to the base to position the seat assembly over the pool or deck. In use, the lift attaches to a pool deck, adjacent the pool, and a user accesses the seat assembly from the deck. The second actuator rotates about the base to position the user over the water. The first actuator lowers the seat assembly, and the user exits the seat assembly into the water.

摘要： A lift seat (10) includes a seating surface (12), for example, a toilet seat, mounted on a supporting frame (14) by a four-bar linkage (16, 18). The four-bar linkage includes a lower link (60) fixed to the frame and an upper link (68) fixed to the seat. An armrest (20, 22) is attached to a front link of the four-bar linkage for pivoting therewith against the bias of the spring (100) which loads the four-bar linkage as the seat is lowered from a raised position in a seating position. Energy stored in the spring is then available to lift the person from the seating position back to the raised position. A damper (140) is connected to the four-bar linkage to prevent abrupt movement of the seat as the four-bar mechanism collapses and expands, while a gas spring (120) is provided to initially resist movement of the four-bar linkage from either the expanded or the collapsed condition unless the armrest is initially rotated.

摘要： Lavatory assistance device for supporting and assisting persons having difficulty in sitting or standing. A stationary frame (5) is maintained in place by two jackscrews (29) pressing on the ceiling. Two moving connecting rods (25, 26) actuated by a cylinder (2), shift a cradle (20) supporting the user under the armpits. The user controls the lowering, stopping or raising manoeuvre by operating a control having handles (9) which are placed in front of the cradle. The force necessary for these manoeuvres is provided by pressure of water from the main supply acting on the cylinder piston (2) before falling again into the cistern for normal use. The hydraulic connection is made by fitting a special joint (17) in place of the existing tap. The arm-cradle assembly can be folded and blocked in a high position, for normal access to the lavatory. The device can be used in hospitals, homes for the elderly or the sick, rehabilitation centres, or it can be rented out.

The aid apparatus comprises: a wheeled base frame means; a support column means comprising a handgrip (31); a lifting mechanism means comprising a sling (80), including a waist strap (81) and thigh strap; a U-shaped lifting arm (40) with attaching means (42) carrying said sling (80) and an actuator (45); and/or a control box means (50); wherein the handgrip (31) is positioned on the slightly inclined column (30) at a distance that encourage a seated patient to hold on to it so that his centre of gravity is shifted forward; and the U-shaped lifting arm (40) is designed for being moved by an actuator (45), whereby due to the patient shifted centre of gravity, the movement of the U-shaped lifting arm (40) transfers components of motion with which the patient can be displaced following an ergonomic movement path.
