摘要： The present invention regards an articulated structure to be used for providing armchairs, chairs, seats, wheelchairs for the disabled and other similar products. It has the function of eliminating tension between the lumbar and dorsal vertebrae and it is of the type which allows the seated person to assume an "overturned N" position which allows the extension of the muscles and of the connected tendons, helps spacing the vertebrae and sooth the intervertebral discs. The entirety occurs respecting the morphology of each seated person. Such articulated structure is characterised in that it comprises a lumbar support (7), having the shape of the lumbar lordosis and moveable vertically, a tilting seat (2), inclinable with an inclination below 90° with respect to the backrest (3) and a step/footrest (5) for conferring to the knees an angle below 90°.

摘要： A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, stretcher, or cot, includes a patient support deck that is directly coupled to elevation adjustment mechanisms without the need for an intervening frame. The elevation adjustment mechanisms may be placed outside the perimeter of the support deck to allow the support deck to be lowered to a greater extent and provide room for attaching side rails to the support deck. The width of the patient support deck may be adjusted by way of extenders, and the sleep surface may also be adjusted by way of foldable strips. A jack type of actuator may be used to pivot the different sections of the support deck with respect to each other. The elevation adjustment mechanisms may include vertical threaded shafts that rotatingly engage threaded collars and raise or lower the collars when the shaft and the collar rotate with respect to each other.

摘要： There is provided a patient support that may be adjustable in height, width, length or a combination thereof. The patient support may be useable with normal sized patients or with bariatric patients. The patient support has a variety of features to enhance operability and/or functionality, including a width adjustable caster frame, width adjustable deck portions, a width adjustable headboard and an extendible foot board to provide extra length. An enhanced lift mechanism can accommodate bariatric patients and alternative functionality in achieving deck positions improves patient comfort. Various parts of the patient support including deck panels and the footboard may be removed and replaced with ease without complicated connectors.
