摘要： The present invention relates to an intra prediction method and apparatus and an image encoding/decoding method and apparatus using the same. The invention provides the intra prediction apparatus that predicts the pixel value for each pixel in a current block by weight-averaging the pixel value for at least one adjacent pixel included in the neighbor block according to the distance between each pixel of the current block and at least one adjacent pixel. According to the invention, the current block to be encoded can be predicted more accurately so that the encoding efficiency may be improved by reducing the difference between the actual block and the predicted block. Therefore, compression efficiency can be improved through the improvement of encoding efficiency.

摘要： The present invention relates to an image encoding/decoding method and device using coefficients of an adaptive interpolation filter. The image encoding device of the present invention comprises: a coefficient calculator for calculating coefficients of an adaptive interpolation filter of a current frame; an image encoder for interpolating a reference frame by using the coefficients of the adaptive interpolation filter, and for encoding the current frame by using the interpolated reference frame; a filter flag encoder for generating and encoding a flag with/without a coefficient inserted as a filter flag, based on the coefficient of the adaptive interpolation filter of the current frame; a coefficient encoder for encoding the coefficient of the adaptive interpolation filter of the current frame, if the flag with a coefficient inserted is the filter flag; and a bit-stream generator for generating and outputting a bit stream, the bit stream including the encoded current frame, the encoded filter flag and additionally the coefficient of the adaptive interpolation filter of the encoded current frame. According to the present invention, encoding efficiency or compression efficiency can be improved by reducing a bit amount for the adaptively determined coefficient of a filter, while encoding an image through the adaptive determination of the coefficient of an interpolation filter.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for generating a reference frame, and to a method and to an apparatus for image encoding/decoding using same. The apparatus for generating a reference frame according to the present invention comprises: an interpolation unit for interpolating a reference frame by fractional pixel units; a virtual encoding unit for determining a block mode of the present frame and a motion vector according to the block mode by using the interpolated reference frame; an offset calculation unit for calculating an offset for each pixel of the interpolated reference frame by using the block mode and the motion vector; and an offset adding unit for adding offsets for each pixel to each pixel of the interpolated reference frame to generate an offset interpolated reference frame. The present invention adds the offset calculated in accordance with the block mode to the reference frame for inter-prediction to make the reference frame to be used in a motion estimation and compensation similar to the present frame to be encoded, thereby improving the accuracy of prediction, and thus improving encoding efficiency and compression efficiency.

The inter prediction method of the present invention for prediction encoding is characterized by determination of a modified block based on a prediction block of the current block, and comprises the steps of: determining current motion vector by estimating the motion of the current block; generating a reference block directed by the current motion vector; calculating current block adjacent pixels using the reference block adjacent pixels and a motion compensation coefficient or an average compensation coefficient; and generating a modified reference block from said generated reference block based on the motion compensation coefficient or the average compensation coefficient. According to the present invention, encoding efficiencies can be enhanced in the encoding and decoding of images by improving the prediction accuracy when intra prediction is performed on the pixel of a block to be encoded or decoded.

In the image encoding apparatus, each pixel in the current block of an image is encoded before the current block is encoded.
