摘要： The present invention relates to a method and device for image encoding/decoding using arbitrary pixels in a sub-block. The present invention comprises an arbitrary pixel extraction part, a first prediction part, a first subtraction part, a first transformation part, a first quantization part, a first inverse quantization part, a first inverse transformation part, a first addition part, a second prediction part, a second subtraction part, an arbitrary residual pixel combination part, a second transformation part, a second quantization part, and an encoding part. After an arbitrary pixel has been extracted from each sub-block of a current block, encoded, decoded, and restored, the restored arbitrary pixel is used to predict and encode the remaining pixels of the respective sub-block. According to the present invention, encoding efficiencies can be enhanced in the encoding and decoding of images by improving the prediction accuracy when intra prediction is performed on the pixel of a block to be encoded or decoded.

The image encoding method of the present invention comprises: dividing a sub-block into rectangular block units and encoding the units stepwise so as to output a rectangular encoded bitstream for each sub-block, and encoding a sub-block into square block units so as to output a square encoded bitstream for each sub-block; and computing the encoding cost for a case where at least one rectangular encoded bitstream is included and the encoding cost for a case where no rectangular encoded bitstream is included and then, based on the costs, generating and outputting a bitstream for a macro block by using at least one of the square and rectangular encoded bitstream. According to the present invention, since a high-efficiency encoding scheme is selectively determined when encoding or decoding an image the prediction accuracy may be increased, and this in turn can improve the image encoding efficiency.

The present invention provides an image encoding apparatus which intra-prediction encodes the current block, for each transform coefficient, in a plurality of intra-prediction modes for minimizing a rate-distortion cost, and outputs a bit stream. One embodiment of the present invention provides a method and device for image encoding which entail: encoding skip information showing whether a block to be subjected to image encoding is a skip block; either encoding split information for the block and skip movement information for the block, or encoding prediction information for the block comprising intra-prediction mode or movement information and split information for the block, depending on the skip information; and encoding residual signal information for the block, based on the prediction information and the conversion information, and provides a method and device for restoring the encoded signal. This embodiment of the present invention can improve image compression efficiency by being devised to allow efficient encoding of the encoding information which is used when encoding images, and allows the encoding of images through the selective use of diverse encoding formats and decoding formats.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for encoding/decoding a video using a split layer. The image encoding/decoding method of the present invention comprises: generating encoded video data by encoding a current block that is split into a plurality of sub blocks; generating encoded split information data by encoding the split information of the current block; generating a bit stream that contains the encoded video data and the encoded split information data; and recovering a video from the generated bit stream. According to the present invention, when encoding a high resolution video with variable-size blocks, various block shapes can be used for the encoding. Also, efficient encoding and decoding of the split information on the blocks can improve the compression efficiency.

The present invention provides an image encoding device that encodes the current block of an image, comprising a rectangular encoding part that, when a current block is input, divides it into rectangular block units and carries out stepwise encoding so as to output a rectangularly encoded bit stream; a square encoding part that, when a current block is entered, encodes it in square block units so as to output a square encoded bit stream; and an encoding selection part that computes the encoding cost of a rectangularly encoded bit stream and the encoding cost of a square encoded bit stream so as to output the bit stream with minimal encoding cost. According to the present invention, the prediction accuracy may be increased when encoding or decoding an image so that image encoding efficiency can be improved.
