The tilt device has a linear actuator (30) which at a first end is supported for pivoting relative to a vehicle chassis (60) and at a second end is adapted to being captured in an aperture of a hook (10) on the cab and to acting upon the cab partly by pushing action between an initial state and a state of equilibrium of the cab and partly by pulling action between a tilted state and a state of equilibrium of the cab. To make it possible for the actuator (30) in the initial state to be entirely unconnected to the vehicle cab (70), the hook is a double hook (10) comprising a pressure hook (14) for localising the second end (34) during said pushing action and an opposite pull hook (18) for localising the second end (34) during said pulling action, and there is between the hooks a play for movement of the second end (34).

    • The invention relates to an adapter (32) for a fuel tank for a vehicle (4) whereby the adapter (32) adapts a bracket (6, 8) intended to accommodate a fuel tank (9) with a first cross-sectional shape, e.g. if substantially rectangular cross-section, transverse to the longitudinal direction of the fuel tank (9), to accommodating a fuel tank (10) with a second cross-sectional shape, differing from the first cross-sectional shape, e.g. of substantially circular cross-section, transverse to the longitudinal direction of the fuel tank (10), by one side of the adapter (32) being connected to the bracket (6, 8) and its other side being shaped according to a fuel tank (10) with the second cross-sectional shape transverse to the longitudinal direction of the fuel tank (10). This results in the advantages of not having to remove previously fitted brackets of one type and then fit brackets of another type, and of not having to design, manufacture and hold stocks of brackets of various different types, thereby simplifying assembly in that there is no need to choose between different types of brackets, while at the same time making it possible to keep down both fitting time and the cost of brackets.
