摘要： A method of controlling a penetrating member is provided. The method comprises providing a lancing device comprising a penetrating member driver having a position sensor and a processor that can determine the relative position and velocity of the penetrating member based on measuring relative position of the penetrating member with respect to time; providing a predetermined velocity control trajectory based on a model of the driver and a model of tissue to be contacted. In some embodiments, a feedforward control to maintain penetrating member velocity along said trajectory.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for an analyte detecting device. In one embodiment, the device comprises a cartridge having a plurality of cavities; and a plurality of penetrating members at least partially contained in the cavities of the single cartridge wherein the penetrating members are slidably movable to extend outward from lateral openings on the cartridge to penetrate tissue. The device may also include a sterility barrier coupled to the cartridge, the sterility barrier covering a plurality of the lateral openings, wherein the sterility barrier covering the lateral openings is configured to be moved so that a penetrating member exits the lateral opening without contacting the barrier; a plurality of analyte detecting members coupled to an underside of the cartridge; and a plurality of sample capture devices, the sample capture devices each having a vertical portion and a horizontal portion, the vertical portion having a opening therethrough to allow a penetrating member to pass through.

The device may include a plurality of penetrating members at least partially contained in the cavities of the single cartridge wherein the penetrating members are slidably movable to extend outward from lateral openings on the cartridge to penetrate tissue. The device may have a sterility barrier coupled to the cartridge, wherein the sterility barrier covers a plurality of the lateral openings, and wherein the sterility barrier covering the lateral openings is configured to be moved so that a penetrating member exits the lateral opening without contacting the barrier. The device may include a plurality of analyte detecting members coupled to the cartridge and a plurality of sample capture devices, wherein the sample capture devices each having an opening there through to allow a penetrating member to pass through.

The pins may be integrated into the tissue penetrating device. The pins are inserted into the printed electrochemical electrodes and are reusable. 摘要： The application discloses a drug infusion system comprising a base and a drug dispenser. The base is configured to receive a cannula that delivers a drug to beneath a wearer's skin. The base is attachable to the skin of the wearer. The reusable drug dispenser is removably attachable to the base and has a pump unit configured to establish fluid communication between a removably attachable drug reservoir and the cannula. The pump unit pumps the drug to the wearer upon activation by the wearer. The pump unit may have an inlet to contact the drug within the reservoir, which may be a needle. The pump unit may also have a receiving unit to receive the reservoir.
