    • In a testing system for chemical substances or mixtures, especially for potential plant protection agents, the chemical substance or mixture is applied to a test sample, especially plants or parts of plants. After a predetermined time, the test sample is examined for the effectiveness of the substance or mixture. To this end, a type of a test sample is selected from a stock of such samples and the substances to be tested are selected from a stock thereof. The selected type of test sample and the selected substances are identified (BC1, BC2) by a machine-readable code, which is transmitted to a storage unit (12).     • A device for counting small particles, especially carriers, comprises a capillary (2) for receiving the particles to be counted, a light source (3) for emitting measuring light (M) and a photoelectric detector (5) for receiving the measuring light (M). A sorting apparatus for distributing small particles comprises such a device.
