    • Disclosed herein are methods and devices for direct electronic readout of biomolecular interactions. The devices of the invention include substrates having a number of electrically conductive sites. The sites are arranged in a spatially-addressable array and are electrically isolated from each other. The devices also include a number of types of probes, each type of probe having a hybridization moiety capable of recognising and hybridizing to a different nucleic acid sequence. Generally, each site is in electrically conductive contact with one type of probe. Similarly, each type of probe is in electrically conductive contact with at least one electrically conductive site. The devices and methods of the invention permit detection of genetic lesions indicative of disease. Also, the devices and methods permit measurement of nucleic acid concentrations useful for predictive medicine as well as therapeutic drug monitoring, for example.
