    • Disclosed is a rear projection apparatus, a rear projection screen, and an associated method for representing static or moving images, in order to improve representation especially in ambient light. Said rear projection apparatus comprises at least one projection screen (107) and at least one light source (101) that is provided in order to be rear-projected onto the projection screen (107) which is adjusted so as to absorb in a spectrally selective manner for an ambient light at least outside at least one narrow-band spectral transmission range. Said projection screen (107) encompasses absorbing metallic nanoparticles (106) which absorb in at least one spectral range of light that is visible to the human eye. The projection screen (107) makes it possible to transmit useful light within the spectral transmission range.

    • The invention relates to a device and to a computer software product for the conception, the preliminary design and the configuration of a machine object that is represented by an object data model. Component objects are stored in an object database, a component element containing at least a parameter object. The database also contains functional objects. The modeling approach implement by the inventive separation of component objects and functional objects enables a differentiation between boundary conditions within a component object and boundary conditions existing between component objects. The first are included by the component objects themselves, and the last are included by the functional elements. This encapsulation is advantageous in that the modeling process can be, in essence, clearly formed. In addition, the encapsulation enables the reuse of the component objects in different systems.
