摘要： A lighting system is disclosed comprising an excitor which drives at least one reactor. The excitor is an electrical waveform generator that creates an AC waveform at a frequency between about 50kHz and about 100 MHz. The reactor is an under-damped resonant circuit that includes a network of lighting elements. Reactive components are distributed among the lighting elements. These reactive components can regulate the current and voltage to individual lighting elements. The drive system is particularly useful for arrays of low-voltage lighting elements such as LEDs. It is fault tolerant in that the failure of individual elements need not affect the operation of remaining elements, and elements can be added and removed without affecting the serviceability of other elements.

In one form, the pesticidai baits are formed by a compressed mixture of a pesticide and a bait material that is palatable to one or more types of pests. In another form however, the pesticidai baits are formed by an extruded mixture of a pesticide and a bait material that is palatable to one or more types of pests. In a further aspect of these forms, the bait material is palatable to one or more wood-destroying pest species such as termites. However, other embodiments, forms and applications are also envisioned.

The method comprises compacting a mixture of a first pre-alloyed powder and a lubricant to thereby form a green part having a green strength sufficient to permit mechanical handling; applying a slurry to a surface of the green part to thereby form a slurry coated green part, wherein the slurry comprises a second pre-alloyed powder, a binder, and a solvent; and heating the coated green part to a temperature below a solidus temperature of the first pre-alloyed powder and between a solidus temperature and a liquidus temperature of the second pre-alloyed powder to thereby solid state sinter the first pre-alloyed powder into a sintered core and to liquid state sinter the second pre-alloyed powder into a continuous alloy coating over the sintered core.

摘要： An electric machine includes a housing, an end shield, a stator, and a rotor assembly. The end shield can define at least one pin, and the stator can define at least one track. The stator can be positioned on the end shield such that the pin is received within the track. The stator can be captured between the end shield and a stop within the housing. The rotor assembly can include an adaptor sleeve and/or a bearing with a plurality of steel rolling elements. End caps can be coupled to the stator, and power and control electronics can be integrated within the housing. A method of assembling the electric machine includes thermally expanding the housing and allowing the housing to cool and thermally contract against an end shield.
