摘要： A thoracic arch stent graft (1) has a tubular body of a biocompatible graft material (3) and at least one fenestration (13, 15) in the wall on one side thereof. A combination guide and tubular side arm assembly (20, 22) is mounted into the or each fenestration. The combination guide and tubular side arm assembly comprises a tubular portion (24) and a funnel portion (26) extending from a distal end of the tubular portion. The funnel portion has an angled open end. The tubular portion and the funnel portion are formed from a biocompatible graft material wall and have a lightweight space frame (38 40) formed from a resilient wire and supporting the graft material and defining the combination guide and tubular side arm assembly.

摘要： A stent graft (10) for endovascular introduction into the pararenal region of the descending aorta, has an elongate tubular body with a proximal portion (12), a distal portion (16) of a diameter less than the proximal portion and a tapered central portion (14). A notional transverse clock face on the tubular body has 12 o'clock at a notional anterior longitudinal datum line and the graft has a scalloped cut out (26) centred at about 12:30 o'clock and a fenestration (28) at about 12:00 o'clock in the proximal portion and first and second fenestration assemblies which can be low profile side arms at about 2: 15 o'clock and about 10:00 o'clock in the tapered central portion. The tapered central portion can have an arcuate side wall (30) so that the tapered portion has an outer face which is concave.

摘要： A stent graft (2) for placement in the thoracic arch of a patient has a first tubular body portion (6) with a first lumen therein for placement in the ascending aorta of a patient and a second tubular body portion (8) to extend along the thoracic arch and down the descending aorta. The second tubular body portion is of a lesser diameter than the first tubular body portion. There is a step portion (10) between the first body portion and the second body portion. The step portion is joined to and continuous with the first portion and the second portion. A first side of each of the first body portion, the step portion and the second body portion are substantially aligned so that there is a step (18) defined on a second side opposite to the first side of the body portion. There is an aperture (30) in the step portion and an internal tube (32) extending from the aperture towards the first body portion. The internal tube is divided along part of its length into at least two smaller internal tubes (34, 36) with the smaller internal tubes opening into the first lumen.

摘要： A stent (20) for use in a medical procedure that comprises a series of proximal apices (22a, 22b) disposed at a proximal end (22) of the stent and a series of distal apices (62a, 62b) disposed at a distal end (24) of the stent. A trigger wire (84) is arranged to be coupled to at least one of the proximal apices (22a, 22b) to restrain the proximal end of the stent (22) during delivery. In a first embodiment, a first proximal apex comprises a bore (31) for receiving the trigger wire (84), and a second proximal apex, disposed adjacent to the first proximal apex, comprises at least one barb (42). The trigger wire (84) therefore is only coupled to selected ones of the proximal apices. In another embodiment, a first proximal apex comprises a first bore (31) and a second, adjacent proximal apex comprises a second bore (41 ), such that a single trigger wire (84) may be disposed through the first and second bores to restrain the first and second proximal apices during delivery.

摘要： A stent graft deployment device (10) has a tubular fixed handle (34, 36) to be gripped and held by a user and an elongate release handle (30) extending through the fixed handle so that the release handle can be moved through the fixed handle. The deployment device assembly has a pusher (38) and a sheath (18) to cover a stent graft (64) on the pusher. The pusher is connected to the fixed handle and the sheath is connected to the release handle so that retraction of the release handle through the fixed handle causes the sheath to be retracted from the stent graft on the pusher. The fixed handle includes a grip component (34) that grips the pusher and a rotator component (36) that grips a release clamp (48) on the pusher. The release clamp has trigger wires for the release of the stent graft attached to it. The rotator component has a screw thread (54) with a portion (52) of the release clamp engaged into the screw thread so that rotation of the rotator component causes longitudinal movement of the release clamp on the pusher which pulls the trigger wires.
