摘要： An apparatus for delivering acoustic energy to a target site adjacent a body passage includes first and second elongate members, each carrying one or more transducer elements on their distal ends. The first and/or second elongate members include connectors for securing the first and second elongate members together such that the transducer elements together define a transducer array. The first and second elongate members are introduced sequentially into a body passage until the transducer elements are disposed adjacent a target site. Acoustic energy is delivered from the transducer elements to the target site to treat tissue therein. In another embodiment, the apparatus includes a tubular member and an expandable structure carrying a plurality of transducer elements. The structure is expanded between a contracted configuration during delivery and an enlarged configuration when deployed for delivering acoustic energy to a target site adjacent the body passage.

The method of multimedia data compression according to the present invention adjusts the compression method according to the type of software application which generated the multimedia data, and hence according to the characteristic of the data itself. Preferably, the type and profile of multimedia data compression is selected by a profile manager (7), which detects the characteristics of the multimedia data to determine the character of the data, and then which selects the multimedia data compression method and profile (11) according to the multimedia character. 摘要： The invention relates to MR PRF shift thermometry wherein the phase background (i.e. the component of the phase not attributable to the temperature change) is compensated for by a hybrid approach which combines multi -baseline, thermometry with referenceless thermometry. According to an embodiment of the invention, the phase background of a thermal treatment image is modeled by a combination of baseline images acquired prior to treatment, and a linear combination of smooth basis functions (e.g. polynomials) that are fitted to a region of the treatment image surrounding the thermally hot spot and extrapolated into the region of the hot spot. Compared to pure multi -baseline methods, the hybrid approach is not undermined by main field drifts during treatment. Compared to referenceless methods, it accommodates rapidly varying anatomical phase, and does not require the user to have a priori knowledge of the location of the hot spot.
