    • The present invention is directed to a dispenser for dispensing foam employing a rigid container (12). The dispenser includes a rigid container, a pump (14), a means for venting air into the container and a housing. The rigid container has an interior wherein soap is received therein. The pump is attached to the bottom of the rigid container and is adapted to mix the soap with air and produce a foam. The container is either provided with an aperture so that air may be vented into the rigid container or a snorkel is attached to the pump and extends between the pump and the top of the container such that air is vented into the container. The rigid container, the pump and the venting means are insertable into the housing and a lever in the housing operably engages the pump.

    • A foam dispenser is for use with a container containing soap or other liquid. The device includes a rotary soap pump, a rotary air pump, a mixing chamber, a porous membrane and an actuator or driver. The rotary soap pump has a soap inlet and a soap outlet and the soap inlet is operably connectable to the container. The rotary air pump has an air inlet and an air outlet. The mixing chamber is in flow communication with the air outlet and the soap outlet and the mixing chamber has an outlet. The porous membrane is positioned such that an air and soap mixture that passes through the mixing chamber outlet passes through the porous membrane thereby producing foam. The actuator or driver is operably connected to the rotary soap pump and the rotary air pump.

    • A group monitoring system for dispenser usage compliance is provided. The system is for a predetermined group of interest in a predetermined facility type. A dispenser data collection system is operably connected to a plurality of dispensers and is capable of providing information. The information includes a unique dispenser identifier and a number of dispenser usage events. The information from the data collection system is received and the predetermined group within which each dispenser is associated is determined. The number of dispenser usage events is determined. A benchmark which corresponds to dispenser usage opportunities particular to the predetermined group and particular to the predetermined time period is determined. The dispenser usage compliance index particular to the predetermined group and particular to the predetermined time period is determined by dividing the dispenser usage events for the predetermined group and the predetermined time period by a denominator which equals the benchmark.
