    • The present invention relates to a parallel connected switching converter in which the turn-on and turn-off operations of a plurality of converters connected in parallel with each other are controlled to keep the phase difference between the converters constant. The parallel connected switching converter of the present invention includes: a first switching control unit for generating a first switching control signal for controlling the turn-on and turn-off operations of a first converter; a synchronous signal generating unit provided with a first capacitor and a second capacitor, interconnecting the first capacitor and the second capacitor in accordance with a first switching control signal output from the first switching control unit to control the voltage of the first capacitor through charge sharing between the first capacitor and the second capacitor, and generating a synchronous signal which is synchronous to the first switching control signal and having a predetermined phase difference by using the voltage of the first capacitor; and a second switching control unit for generating a second switching control signal in accordance with the synchronous signal output from the synchronous signal generating unit to control the turn-on and turn-off operations of the second converter. The parallel connected switching converter of the present invention keeps the phase difference between parallel connected converters constant by using a charge sharing scheme, and controls all of the parallel connected converters to operate in a DCM (discontinuous conduction mode), thereby being capable of preventing an increase in switching loss and switching noise caused by reverse recovery resulting from their operation in a CCM (continuous conduction mode).

    • The present invention relates to a parallel connected switching converter in which the turn-on and turn-off operations of a plurality of converters connected in parallel with each other are controlled to keep the phase difference between the converters constant. The parallel connected switching converter of the present invention includes: a first switching control unit for generating a first switching control signal for controlling the turn-on and turn-off operations of a first converter; a synchronous signal generating unit provided with a first capacitor and a second capacitor, interconnecting the first capacitor and the second capacitor in accordance with a first switching control signal output from the first switching control unit to control the voltage of the first capacitor through charge sharing between the first capacitor and the second capacitor, and generating a synchronous signal which is synchronous to the first switching control signal and having a predetermined phase difference by using the voltage of the first capacitor; and a second switching control unit for generating a second switching control signal in accordance with the synchronous signal output from the synchronous signal generating unit to control the turn-on and turn-off operations of the second converter. The parallel connected switching converter of the present invention keeps the phase difference between parallel connected converters constant by using a charge sharing scheme, and controls all of the parallel connected converters to operate in a DCM (discontinuous conduction mode), thereby being capable of preventing an increase in switching loss and switching noise caused by reverse recovery resulting from their operation in a CCM (continuous conduction mode).

Use of the birefringence modulator shortens measuring time, and decreases an affect of external disturbance to the incident light that is incident into the testing optical component or occurrence probability of the external disturbance, so that the polarization-dependent loss can be precisely measured.
