    • The battery module storage device of the present invention is made in a rectangular parallelepiped shape with the front face and the rear face open and an inner space formed therein, and a plurality of battery cell insertion slots are formed on the bottom face of the upper face plate and the top face of the lower face plate so that a plurality of battery cells can be inserted in a standing manner where the two faces are opposing each other, and a plurality of heat transfer plate insertion slots are formed near the plurality of battery cell insertion slots so that heat transfer plates of a battery module temperature adjustment device can be inserted in a standing manner. Therefore, the present invention can configure a battery pack and an electric power storage system having a stack structure by inserting a battery module from the front face side of the battery module storage device, and inserting the battery module temperature adjustment device from the rear face side.

A first SOC estimating unit estimates first SOC by current integration using the battery current data. A second SOC estimating unit estimates open-circuit voltage from the voltage variation pattern, and calculates and stores second SOC corresponding to the open-circuit voltage and temperature using correlations between the open-circuit voltage/temperature and SOC. A weighted mean convergence calculating unit calculates and stores convergence value for weighted mean value of ratio of the second SOC variation to the first SOC variation. A SOH estimating unit estimates capacity corresponding to the weighted mean convergence value using correlation between the weighted mean convergence value and the capacity, estimates relative ratio of the estimated capacity to an initial capacity, and stores it as SOH.

    • Provided is an apparatus for detecting substrates in a cassette. The apparatus for detecting substrates in a cassette includes: a first body fixedly placed in manufacturing equipment; and a second body fixedly placed at a position facing the first body to receive a signal sent from the first body. The first body includes: a light transmitting element composed of one or more light emitting elements, and a light transmission controller that controls operations of the light emitting elements of the light transmitting element. The second body includes: a light receiving element composed of one or more sensors that detect a signal sent from the light transmitting element, and a light receiving controller that uses signals detected by the sensors of the light receiving element to determine whether substrates are present in respective channels of the cassette and that sends resultant data of determination to an external device. Accordingly, the substrate detecting apparatus is fixedly placed in manufacturing equipment, thereby not requiring an additional driver. Further, its overall structure is simple, and an extra driving time is not consumed to move a detector into a cassette. Furthermore, since a light transmitting/receiving sensor is used, stable detection can be achieved with a transparent glass material having a high transmittance and specular reflectance.

    • The present invention relates to a variable disconnection apparatus which variably controls the disconnection or connection of a switch in each battery unit of a large-sized battery system according to a dangerous level of a sensed external state so as to switch to a low capacity state and a low voltage state, and a variable disconnection control method thereof. The variable disconnection apparatus of the present invention which variably controls the physical connection of a battery set unit includes: a switch which is provided at a connective line of the battery set unit so as to electrically connect or disconnect the line; a switch control module which applies an on-signal or an off-signal to the switch; and a disconnection control module which controls the switch control module according to the sensed danger level so as to change locations, numbers, and disconnection intervals of opening/shutting switches. The present invention senses when the large-sized battery system is in a dangerous state and variably controls the physical connection of the battery unit for stabilization thereof into a low capacity and low voltage state.
