    • A bearing isolator for a propshaft assembly of a motor vehicle includes a isolating material having an aperture formed therein for receiving a bearing. The aperture, at least partially, defines an inner isolator surface. The isolator also includes a generally annular outer magnet portion having a generally cylindrical outer magnet outer portion, a generally cylindrical outer magnet inner portion, an outer first magnetic pole portion, and an outer second magnetic pole portion. The outer first magnetic pole portion is adjacent the outer magnet inner portion. The outer second magnetic pole portion is adjacent the outer magnet outer portion.     • An embodiment includes a joint (120) that includes a retaining member (148) and a shaft (126) having a shaft groove (170). The joint (120) also includes a race (146) having a race groove (182). At least one of the shaft groove (170) and the race groove (182) is defined, at least in part, by a groove chamfer (170, 172, 174, 190, 192, 194). The shaft (126) is selectively interposed within the race (146) by translating the shaft (126) in a first direction. The retaining member (148) selectively engages both of the shaft groove (170) and the race groove (182). The retaining member (148) bindingly engages the groove chamfer (170, 172, 174, 190, 192, 194) to selectively restrict movement of the shaft (126) in a second direction.
