摘要： The invention relates to a mechanical assembly for a power tool, and a power tool incorporating the mechanical assembly. The mechanical assembly includes a first member having a first axis and a first engagement portion inclined relative to the first axis and a second member having a second axis and a second engagement portion inclined relative to the second axis. The first and second engagement portions engage each other by movement of the first and second members relative to each other in the direction of at least one of the axes. The power tool includes a power tool body and a rotatable driven member being operable for releasably gripping a working element, the driven member having a drive mode in which rotation of the driven member drives the working element relative to the power tool body and an adjustment mode in which rotation of the driven member causes the driven member to either grip the working element or release the working element or both. The power tool also includes means for adjusting the driven member between the modes which includes the mechanical assembly wherein the first and second engagement portions engage each other by movement of the first and second members relative to each other in the direction of at least one of the axes and wherein engagement between the first and second engagement portions adjusts the driven member to the adjustment mode and disengagement between the first and second engagement portions adjusts the driven member to the drive mode. The power tool may also include a first torque control means that is operable for controlling the amount of torque applied to the driven member by the power drive when in the drive mode and a second torque control means that is operable for controlling the amount of torque applied to the driven member by the power drive when in the adjustment mode. The power tool may further include a gearbox with one or more speeds and a switch with two or more positions that is operable for selecting the modes, the gear speeds and the first and second torque control means.

摘要： A capacitor-based (supercapacitor, ultracapictor or psudeocapcitor) electrical charger (10), rechargeable device (22) and energy storage pack for use with a rechargeable power tool. The rechargeable device (22) includes a storage capacitor (30). The electrical charger includes a supply capacitor (42) electrically connected to an electrical contact (46), the supply capacitor being charged when the electrical charger is connected to a power source (40). While in use, any charge in the supply capacitor (42) is rapidly distributed between the supply capacitor (42) and the storage capacitor (30) when the rechargeable device is mounted in the receiver (16) of the electrical charger. The electrical charger includes a safety interlock switch (50) which only supplies power to the electrical contact (46) of the charger after electrical terminal of the rechargeable device have engaged the electrical contact (46).

摘要： The present invention provides a storage system for a component, such as a power tool, a power tool module, a power control module, hand tools and parts and accessories for the aforesaid. The storage system includes a receptacle including a base and a closure connected to the base, the base and the closure defining an internal space for receiving one or more components, the closure being operable for selectively enclosing the internal space, and a connection means for releasably connecting the base with at least one component that is positioned within the internal space of the receptacle, the connection means including a first connection portion associated with the base for connecting with a second connection portion of the component. The present invention also provides a package for containing a product, such as one or more of the aforesaid products, including a product interfacing device including an interface surface defining a recess that is shaped to conform with an exterior surface of the product and thereby restrict movement of the product relative to the product interfacing device, a removable cover coupled to the interfacing device for enclosing the product when the cover is coupled to the interfacing device and for enabling access to the product when removed from the interface member, wherein the product interfacing device includes a connection means for releasably connecting the product interfacing device within the internal space of a receptacle.

The assembly includes a receptacle including an electrical connector for connection to a power supply, a length of an electrical cable that is contained within the receptacle and that is coupled to the electrical connector, wherein the length of electrical cable is retractably extendable from within the receptacle.
