The use of context to make the policy decision allows for services offerings to be adjusted dynamically to the context of a particular user's service request. The subscription management system further includes a policy rules module, subscription profile interface and a context analysis module. The policy rules module provides policy rules. The context analysis module determines the context of a service request. Based on context information, the policy decision module in effect temporarily overrides a subscription profile based on the context of a service access by the user. Methods of use for the context-aware service subscription management systems are also provided.

The system includes multiple local session state store servers associated with one or more access control servers and a global location store. 摘要： Systems and methods for providing adaptive fine-grained fair usage controls are provided. Rather than providing a fixed fair usage threshold having time and data volume for all subscribers in the network, a quota manager at the policy controller defines an initial fair usage window having a longer period of time and higher data volume. When a subscriber exceeds the initial window, the quota manager provides a smaller time period and lower data volume. The quota manager continues to adapt the fair usage window in this way until a violation of the fair usage threshold is detected. The adaptive fair usage windows may be based on subscriber profile information, subscriber session information, and/or prior subscriber usage history.

The method includes receiving a session record, placing the session record into a segment buffer based on the type of record, and updating a look ahead cache including providing a timestamp for the last update for a session. The transfer of correlated session records to a billing system is based on whether records for a session have been received based on session tracking within the look ahead cache.
