摘要： A system and method are described whereby interoperability is facilitated in a 3GPP network environment in combination with DIAMETER policy controls. Such interoperability enables updated policy rules to be fully communicated in on-line charging situations where quota expirations occur. 摘要： Apparatus and method for detecting in real-time when a User of a prepaid telecommunications account tries to complete a data, voice or financial transaction to purchase a product or service but cannot, due to insufficient funds in the Prepaid Account. The system then determines whether the Account is eligible to receive a Facilitation according to predetermined criteria and, if so, either (1) automatically authorizes the transaction to be completed based on a Facilitation amount, subsequently recorded by the system to satisfy the insufficiency, or (2) instantly communicates to the User an offer to do so, and if the User accepts the offer, authorizes the transaction and records the Facilitation amount. The transaction can then be completed without significant interruption. A mechanism is provided such that on the next Topping-Up event(s) of the User's Account, the Facilitation amount is debited from the User's Account for return to the Facilitator.

摘要： Systems and methods are provided to facilitate online transactions via mobile communications. In one aspect, a system includes a plurality of converters to interface with a plurality of controllers in different formats for delivery of premium messages; and a common format processor coupled with the plurality of converters in a common format to send the premium messages. In one embodiment, the common format processor is to obtain an authorization for the initiation of communications with a mobile phone of a user for subsequent payments to a merchant. After obtaining the authorization, the common format processor may directly initiate communications with the mobile phone, using one of the converters, to obtain confirmation of payments directly requested by the merchant. Upon confirmation with the mobile phone, the common format processor may send premium messages to the mobile phone to collect funds for making the confirmed payments.

摘要： A system (10) for crediting a balance of available communication units associated with a SIM (12). The system comprises a local controller (14) connected to a central backend (24) which is connected to a financial system (40) and to a management system (34) of prepaid communication units.
