摘要： Methods and systems herein provide better downlink (DL) data throughput for cell-edge stations (CE STAs). The systems enable protection from a third-party collision during a wideband DL data transmission to the cell edge STA, when the wideband control frame, such as clear-to-send (CTS) or acknowledge (ACK), transmission from a cell edge STA cannot reach the AP. This process can be achieved by designing a new wideband control frame comprising: a legacy preamble sent over the primary 20 MHz channel that can be decoded by the legacy STAs, a new preamble sent over the primary 20 MHz channel that can be used to identify the new wideband control frame (this new preamble has the total signal bandwidth information for the rest of the packet following the new preamble); and duplicate legacy control packets set over the total bandwidth indicated in the new preamble (the legacy control packets can be decoded by the legacy STAs).

The switching system can switch the DC supply voltage to the power amplifier while handling the high DC current and the nanosecond switching speed requirements that are mandatory for most RF systems. The embodiments provide a desired sharp turn- on leading edge for an RF pulse while eliminating the extremely long and undesirable ramp down that typically occurs beyond the desired RF pulse period.

The window stack can change based on the change in the orientation of the device. The system can receive an orientation change that transitions the device from a closed state to an open state. The previously created window become active to be displayed on the second of the displays after the device is opened.

摘要： Dynamic configuration of cross-environment applications enhances the computing experience in a computing environment with an extended active user environment and/or multiple active user environments. A mobile computing device maintains multiple active device configurations associated with multiple active user environments and/or application windows within active user environments. Device configuration qualifiers are determined from a variety of sources including device characteristics, device indicators, user settings, and/or application presentation. The mobile computing device selects active resource sets for applications based on the device configuration qualifiers. Application presentation is dynamically updated by disestablishing an application screen and establishing a new active application screen using a different resource set. The mobile computing device may be a smartphone running the Android mobile operating system and a full desktop Linux distribution on a modified Android kernel.

The system can receive a gesture indicating a change in the position of a window in the device. The stack is an arrangement of an active window and at least one other active or inactive window for at least one of the two displays. The system can receive activation of a window in the device. Then, the system can generate a logic data structure for the active window to describe the position of the active window in the window stack.

摘要： A system and method create an interconnection among users of different social networks. Each user can provide information about the social networks they use (e.g., username, passwords, etc.). An application may register with the social network and can inter- dispose the application between the user and the social network. Then, the system can interconnect the users into a "virtual private network" (VPN) where communications between the users and the social networks can be replicated to other social networks for the other users. As such, different users using different social networks can communicate.
