    • A trim insert for a choke assembly is disclosed, wherein the trim insert is a tubular member with a substantially constant inner diameter. A first end of the device is positioned within an adjacent upstream sleeve and a second end is sealingly retained within the discharge channel of the choke assembly. A flange coaxially retains the tubular member between the sleeve and a shoulder of the choke body. The trim insert is made of an erosion resistant material, such as tungsten carbide, hardened steel, or a ceramic. Additionally, the inner surface of the tubular member may be coated with a hardening compound to provide additional erosion resistance.

    • A toilet supply tank assembly (700) having high performance flush characteristics is designed to maximize water pressure over the flush valve and to minimize fluid turbulence within the tank during a flush cycle. The tank includes a bottom interior surface (702) which tapers downwardly from the outer edges thereof to a fluid escape opening (704). The flush valve plunger (709) incorporates an overflow/bowl refill tube (709D), which passes through the center of the plunger. The tank may also include at least three vertical partitions (708A-708D) intersecting a common axis (710) which not only provides a cage in which the flush valve plunger can slide up and down, but also prevents the water from swirling and forming an energy robbing vortex. The supply tank assembly may also include a vertical tube which connects the fluid escape opening with a base portion attachable to a toilet bowl.

    • In accordance with the present invention, a phonation valve (10) which is cooperatively connectable to a breathing tube (18) connected to a patient's airway, includes a valve body (12) having first (14) and second (16) ends through which gas passes into and out of the valve (10). The first end (14) is connectable to the breathing tube (18) for passage of gas between the breathing tube (18) and the valve (10). A valve seat (22) is located within the valve body (12) between the first (14) and second (16) ends. A thin, flexible diaphragm (24) is provided, which is seated against the valve seat (22) when the patient exhales. The diaphragm (24) has a comfort-improving structural feature which can be 1) a shape which is at least partly concave on a side of the diaphragm (24) facing the seat (22), and/or 2) a web (42) of substantially uniform thickness with a plurality of discrete areas of different thicknesses dispersed around the web (42), which are capable of damping resonance vibration of the diaphragm (24) during breathing by the patient.
