摘要： The present invention relates to a novel process for preparing sol-gel microcapsules loaded with up to 95 % (w/w) functional molecules or substances and to the products obtained by said process. Said process is conducted in two steps: (a) creating an oil-in-water emulsion by emulsification of a water insoluble solution comprising the sol-gel precursors and the molecules to be loaded, in an aqueous solution under appropriate shear forces; (b) mixing and stirring said emulsion with an aqueous solution at a suitably selected pH to obtain loaded sol-gel microcapsules in suspension. The microcapsules so obtained can further be subjected to cycles of isolation and rinsing. Incorporation of the final product, either in the form of a suspension or a powder, in cosmetic formulations affords a transparent cream when applying to skin and has a smooth and pleasant contact.

摘要： An active coloring concentrate can be prepared from the juice of cranberry and other fruits or vegetables by treating juice or homogenate with an appropriate binding matrix. Assorted ion exchange resins such as cholestyramine are effective binding matrices, but the currently preferred material is a food grade of cross-linked polyvinylpyrollidone. When appropriate binding matrices are used to concentrate active materials from cranberry, a colored solid is produced. This substance shows significant antibacterial and anti-viral properties. It can be readily consumed as a therapeutic or nutraceutical, used as a coloring agent, or it can be used topically. An additional advantage of the present method is that significant amounts of active concentrate can be produced from cranberrry presscake which is normally a waste material.

摘要： Bilberry-containing drinks prepared by blending natural water with a bilberry extract obtained from bilberry fruits and containing anthocyanin salts as the main component. These drinks may further contain sugar, perfumes, vitamins and minerals. The natural water to be used in these drinks is a magnetically activated one. Alternatively, not the natural water but the drink products per se may be magnetically activated. It is also possible to subject both of the natural water and the drinks to the magnetic activation. Thus, bilberry containing anthocyanin salts which are efficacious against eye strain can be added to drinks and absorbed in vivo.
