    • A method for treating a bone body comprises inserting a probe having at least one active electrode into the target tissue and applying a voltage difference between an active electrode and a return electrode to ablate the tissue. The method is particularly directed to removing tumors in a bone body and or removing cancellous bone in a bone body. The bone body may be a vertebral body. The devices include electrosurgical probes which enable their electrodes to access tissue at trajectories beyond that of the access channel through which they are delivered to the target tissue. Also, a kit includes an electrosurgical probe, an electrosurgical generator, an introducer needle, and a fluid connector to connect the introducer needle to a fluid source such that liquid may be supplied to the target tissue during an application.

    • A bone anchor adapted to secure soft tissue to bone. The anchor includes a first body section and a second body section proximal to the first body section. The first section has a non-circular cross section such that once the implant is inserted into a shaped bone tunnel it may be secured in the tunnel by rotation from its initial insertion position to a second position. The dissimilarity of the non-circular cross section of the proximal end of the first section prevents removal of the bone anchor from the bone tunnel. Additionally, a suture may be threaded through a hole in the second section. Once the anchor is secured in place with an attached suture, the free ends of the suture, the free ends of the suture may be threaded through soft tissue and tied down to secure the soft tissue to bone.

    • Apparatus and methods for ablating, severing, cutting, shrinking, coagulating, or otherwise modifying a target tissue to be treated. In a method for treating a target tissue, an active electrode of an electrosurgical probe (20) is positioned in at least close proximity to the target tissue in the presence of an electrically conductive fluid. A high frequency voltage is then applied between the active electrode (203) and a return electrode (112), wherein, the high frequency voltage is sufficient to volumetrically remove (ablate), sever, or modify at least a portion of the target tissue. The probe (20) comprises a multi-lumen shaft having a plurality of internal lumens, and a return electrode coil oriented substantially parallel to the shaft distal end. The active electrode (203) may be in the form of a metal disc, a hook, or an active electrode coil. In the latter embodiment, the active electrode coil (203) is typically arranged substantially orthogonal to the return electrode coil. Methods of making an active electrode coil, a return electrode coil, and an electrosurgical probe are also disclosed.
