    • A tire pressure gauge for attachment to a valve stem includes a wall defining a chamber having a first port adapted to sealingly engage a valve stem, a probe being mounted in the first port so as to open a valve of a valve stem sealingly engaged by the first port, a pressure sensor in the chamber, a memory, a display physically supported on the device, a processor being operatively coupled to said display, pressure sensor and memory; and code being stored in the memory and operable by the processor to: retrieve at least one value indicative of a first threshold tire pressure from the memory, determine a pressure sensed by the pressure sensor, and, cause the display to present information indicative of a relative value of the sensed value to the first threshold tire pressure.

    • A gauge is provided for monitoring pressure of air within a tire or other gas containing chamber. A gauge includes a receiver attachable to a valve stem of the tire. A valve core is also provided on the gauge through which fill air can be directed. In this way, the gauge does not need to be removed during filling of the tire with air. A pathway extends from the valve core to the receiver within the gauge. A pressure sensor, such as a Bourdon tube, is coupled to this pathway and monitors pressure within the tire. A lower body of the gauge includes a latching element which can be manually actuated to temporarily mount the gauge to the valve stem. The latching element can be in the form of levers which rotate and act as a toggle to engage the valve stem and secure the gauge to the valve stem.

    • A wireless sensing system and method for wireless sensor interrogation are disclosed. The wireless sensing system includes a plurality of radio frequency sensors (11) distributed within a predefined area, a forward communication link with an energizer (1 coupled to a transmission cable (21). The energizer (13) is adapted to provide radio frequency signals intended for the plurality of radio frequency sensors (11) to the transmission cable (21). The transmission cable (21) is adapted as a leaky waveguide antenna selectively slotted and routed within the predefined area for effective air linking of leaked radio frequency signals to the plurality o wireless sensors (11). The method for wireless sensor interrogation includes providing a plurality of radio frequency sensors (11) distributed within a predefined area, providing a forward communication link including an energizer (13) coupled to a transmission cable (21 ), routing the transmission cable (21 ) through the predefined area in proximity to the plurality of radio frequency sensors (11), selectively slotting the transmission cable (21) in regions proximate the plurality of radio frequency sensors (11), transmitting radio frequency signals through the transmission cable (21), and air linking radio frequency signals to the plurality of radio frequency sensors (11) through the slotted regions proximate the plurality of sensors (11).
