摘要： The invention relates to a method for extracting a desired protein from a transgenic host organism, whereby the expression of the gene that codes for this protein is firstly carried out after the host organism has been harvested. The inventive method is characterized in that: (a) the transgenic host organism contains the gene that codes for the desired protein in such a way that the expression thereof is firstly carried out in the presence of a chemical inductor, and; (b) the gene is brought into contact with the inductor via the phase surrounding the host organism after the host organism has been harvested. The invention also relates to a host organism that is suited for carrying out said method.

摘要： A method of inducing the expression of a gene under the regulation by an operator at an actinomycetes self-regulator provision site, which comprises imparting the characters of a repressor and an operator constituting a gene expression inducing system with the use of the actinomycetes self-regulator as an inducer to a plant by gene transfer, and then providing the actinomycetes self-regulator to the plant thus transformed. By using this method, a desired gene can be expressed at a desired point at a desired site of a plant, which makes it possible to produce a metabolite, which is even disadvantageous in the growth of the plant, in the plant. This method is also useful in controlling the fertility to thereby prevent transformed plants from scattering into the surroundings.

Isolated nucleotide sequences encoding a neoxanthin cleavage enzyme, an amino acid permease, and a novel protein are provided. Also provided are isolated nucleotide sequences comprising promoters that drive expression in a plant in an inducible or tissue-preferred manner. The nucleotide sequences find use in increasing the resistance of plants to pathogens and other stresses, modifying ABA metabolism in plants, modifying amino acid transport and content in plants, and regulating gene expression in plants. Additionally provided are isolated proteins, and transformed plants and seeds thereof.
