    • In a prior art tire vulcanizer employing a sectional die, a supporting member becomes large because a side die is arranged on an upper plate and the uniformity of a tire is poor. Since a segment (13) for holding a sector is arranged on the lower plate side, a member being supported by the upper plate can be reduced in weight and size and power consumption can also be reduced. Since the holding segment (13) is provided on the lower plate side, clearance between the holding segment (13) and a guide member (15) can be made small as compared with prior art when it is advanced or retracted while engaging with the guide member (15) and the uniformity of a tire can be improved.
