Since a segment (13) for holding a sector is arranged on the lower plate side, a member being supported by the upper plate can be reduced in weight and size and power consumption can also be reduced. Since the holding segment (13) is provided on the lower plate side, clearance between the holding segment (13) and a guide member (15) can be made small as compared with prior art when it is advanced or retracted while engaging with the guide member (15) and the uniformity of a tire can be improved.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of an annular article, which substantially consists of metal, ceramic material, and/or polymer. A cavity in a die is filled with a formable working material, which shall form said article. A tubular, upper punch (17) is introduced into the upper mouth of a hole in a die (34), so that a closed mould cavity is formed. The upper punch and a lower punch (27) are simultaneously struck towards one another at such a high velocity that the working material is plasticized and flows out and fills the mould cavity, and thereafter the upper punch is removed. Then, a mandrel (35) in the lower punch is driven out of the annular body by means of a mandrel expulsor (170), which is pressed against the mandrel from above, and thereafter the annular body is from below pushed out of the die by means of the lower punch. The invention also relates to an equipment for the carrying out of the method.

A plurality of upper and lower molds are provided on simultaneously rotating supports such that each co-operating pair of molds is open during a specific portion of the cycle of rotation. While open, a previous product is ejected, the molds may be cleaned and releasing agent introduced and further material introduced to the mold for a subsequent molding operation. The mold then closes and continues rotation.

A shoe (50) is fixedly-mounted adjacent the molding station (17) and is slidable with respect to the peripheral surface (36) of the rotating wheel (10) to communicate with passages (35) which lead from the peripheral surface (36) of the rotating wheel (10) to the insides of the molding dies. During die closing, vacuum is applied to the shoe (50) to remove air from the molding dies.

摘要： A method of making annular polymer articles provides for placing a blank on a cylindrical forming surface, dividing it, along the perimeter, into even and odd sections and pressing the blank in two stages, during the first of which the even sections are pressed and during the second stage the odd ones are pressed, the pressure being simultaneously kept on the even sections, after which the article is vulcanized. The press mould comprises a cylindrical mandrel (1) mounted on a support and serving for placing the blank on it, and elements (5, 6) intended for pressing the blank and mounted in turn around the cylindrical mandrel (1), the even elements (5) being provided with side surfaces (7) which are parallel to the axis of symmetry of each element (5) and the odd elements (6) being provided with side surfaces adjoining the side surfaces (7) of the neighbouring even elements (5) oriented at an angle ( alpha ) to the axis of symmetry of that element (6), whereas the kinematic connection of the even (5) and odd (6) elements with the means for their radial movement is adapted for consecutively moving firstly all the odd elements (6) and then all the the even ones (5).
