摘要： A method is provided for carbonizing and activating carbonaceous material, which comprises supplying the material to an externally fired rotary kiln maintained at carbonizing and activating temperatures, the kiln having a downward slope to progress the material as it rotates, the kiln having an atmosphere substantially free of oxygen provided by a counter-current of steam or carbon dioxide, and annular weirs being provided at intervals along the kiln to control progress of the material. There may further be provided an externally fired rotary kiln for carbonizing and activating carbonaceous material having a hollow rotary body that has a downward slope towards a discharge end thereof, and which is provided at intervals along its length with annular weirs for controlling progress of the carbonaceous material. There is also provided a process is for producing discrete solid beads of polymeric material e.g. phenolic resin beads having a mesoporous structure, which may be useful as feedstock for the above mentioned carbonization/activation process or which may have other utility e.g. as ion exchange resins.

摘要： A reaction vessel for treating waste plastic and tyres by cracking. The reaction vessel comprises reaction vessel shell, hot air layer outside the shell, hot air inlet and outlet in connection with hot air layer, feed inlet situated upside of the shell, discharge gate situated downside of the shell, resultant gas outlet mounted on the sidewall of the shell and in connection with inner chamber of the reaction vessel, dewaxing unit connected to the resultant gas outlet, and alkali spraying inlet situated upside of the shell and beside the feed inlet. Alkali powder or solution can be charged into the inner chamber of the reaction vessel throughalkali spraying inlet in feeding stage, thus resultant acid gas can be removed and life time of related equipment can be prolonged. Discharged resultant gas of reaction is treated by dewaxing unit, thus waxes are converted into fuel oil completely and oil productivity is improved remarkably.

摘要： Es wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Pyrolyseöls beschrieben. Hierbei erfolgt zunächst eine Pyrolyse eines zu behandelnden Ausgangsmaterials in einer Pyrolysezone, in der das Ausgangsmaterials auf eine Temperatur von 250 °C bis 700 °C erwärmt wird und pyrolysierte Feststoffe und Pyrolysedämpfe gebildet werden. Die Pyrolysedämpfe werden dann in einer Nachkonditionierungszone bei einer Temperatur von 450 °C bis 1200 °C reformiert, in der die Pyrolysedämpfe mit einer Katalysatorschüttung in Kontakt gebracht werden wobei das Pyrolyseöl gebildet wird. Der Katalysator umfasst hierbei einen nach der vorstehend angegebenen Pyrolyse erhältlichen pyrolysierten Feststoff. Schließlich erfolgt die Abtrennung des Pyrolyseöls von weiteren gebildeten Pyrolyseprodukten in einer Separationseinheit. Das Pyrolyseöl weist einem Kohlenstoff-Gehalt größer 65 Gew.-%, einen Wasserstoff- Gehalt größer 5 Gew.-% und einem Sauerstoffgehalt kleiner 16 Gew.-% auf. Daneben besitzt es einem 14 C-Gehalt von zumindest 0, 1 ppT und einer Säurezahl kleiner 15 mg KOH/g.

摘要： The inventions relate to the industrial processing of combustible products. The claimed method is implemented in reactors equipped with temperature sensors (18, 20). A feedstock is heated and subjected to pyrolysis, coking and combustion to form a solid residue. Dust-like particles and condensed droplets of liquids from the combustion zone are sorbed by liquid hydrocarbon products by means of the irrigation of the top part of the feedstock via a distributor or by means of the addition of solid hydrocarbon-containing products to the feedstock, said products having a softening point above 60°C and a boiling point above 300°C. The apparatus comprises a reactor for processing carbon-containing and/or hydrocarbon-containing products, Florence flasks for condensates and a collector for liquid hydrocarbon-containing waste materials. An additional unit for purification of the steam-gas mix is positioned between a cyclone-type unit for purification by removal of solid and liquid carbon-containing particles and a unit for condensing liquid products. The inventions make it possible to increase to 95% the quality of purification of a steam-gas mix by removal of solid and liquid-drop impurities, and to increase the productivity of the process.

摘要： Methods for defoaming in hydrocarbon processes include the steps of providing a defoaming agent, and introducing the agent into a hydrocarbon process to inhibit or control foaming in the hydrocarbon process. These methods may be particularly useful in coking processes, especially as to foaming in coke drums. In certain embodiments, defoaming agents may comprise a plurality of carbon nanoparticles. In some embodiments, drag reducing agents may comprise high-molecular weight alkanes. Advantages include, but are not limited to, more efficient and effective foam inhibition, reduced or eliminated product contamination, reduced or eliminated catalyst poisoning, increased refinery production rate, debottlenecking the coker, and reduced cost and consequences of applying too much antifoam.
