    • In an embodiment of the invention, there is proposed a method of and apparatus for accessing in a user equipment, the method including the steps of: i) performing a random access on a predetermined resource according to a channel condition of the user equipment, wherein the predetermined resource is associated with the channel condition of the user equipment; and ii) receiving, on a PDCCH, a response to the random access from an eNB. With this solution, during a random access of a user equipment, particularly a MTC device, an eNB can perform a Random Access Response (RAR) adaptively using a different number of Control Channel Elements (CCEs) according to an indication, capable of reflecting a channel condition, e.g., a signal to noise ratio, of the user equipment, thereby saving the channel resource.

    • The present invention provides a solution of initiating one-to-many communication process by a network in a communication system. Firstly, a server sends a control signaling to the determined next-hop core network equipment. After receiving the control signaling, the core network equipment generates a paging message according to the control signaling, and determines a target access network equipment to send the paging message according to the content of the paging message. After receiving the paging message from the core network equipment, the access network equipment interprets the paging message into an air interface paging message and sends the air interface paging message. After receiving the paging message, the terminal equipment detects whether the identification information included in the paging message matches the terminal equipment. If so, the terminal equipment sends the reported data or performs call establishment with the network, according to paging reason indication information in the paging message. By applying the present invention, the network side only needs to initiate one paging process; furthermore, the on-demand reply message is triggered by the signaling but not available application data method in the present invention, and the present invention does not depend upon the detailed implement of the terminal equipment, therefore, the effect of on-demand reply can be achieved.
