摘要： A computer system coupled to a network is disclosed which provides multiple paths for each serial input/output connection. In the receive mode, the current invention separates serial data frames which are composed of sub-functions/channels into sub-function data streams. The sub-function data streams can then be transferred out one at a time. In the transmit mode, the current invention forms data load patterns from the sub-function data streams. Each data load pattern is formed by selecting the appropriate binary bits from the sub-function data streams and arranging the binary bits selected in the sequence desired. The binary bits of each data load pattern are transmitted serially.

摘要： High-speed digital transmission can be achieved with existing phone lines and HDSL chipsets. Two original ISDN signals (4, 5) at a rate of 160 kbps are multiplexed by a MICS card (6) of a signal provider (1). The resulting digital signal is transported over a twisted cable pair (2) which has an approximate maximum length of 16 kft. At a receiving end, the signal is demultiplexed and regenerated by a subscriber's MICS card (7). The subscriber's MICS card is line-powered via the cable (2) to avoid dependence upon local power. The regenerated signals are transmitted over two ISDN cables to remote premises which can be as far as 18 kft away.

摘要： A digital button telephone system which is connected to an analog public network (NW) having a function of transmitting a calling signal including the identification information of the caller through a subscriber line (CO line), incorporates a plurality of extensions to which digital button telephone sets (DKT) (2) or standard telephone sets (STT) (4) are respectively connected as extension terminals, and has a function of exchangingly connecting the subscriber's line to an extension or an extension to another extension. 摘要： The range of digital data communication services, such as a basic rate 2B1Q ISDN channel, to customer premises located beyond the industry standard achievable range of a two-wire loop can be extended by increasing the capacity of the ISDN line code from two information bits per symbol to three information bits per symbol, so as to reduce the effective symbol rate, which is error correction encoded to an effective 4B1H line code for defining a sixteen level PAM signal waveform, and employing enhanced low signal-to-noise ratio signal processing techniques in both the transmitter and receiver to accommodate the increased insertion loss of the two-wire line resulting from its extended length. Such enhanced low signal-to-noise ratio signal processing techniques include a Tomlinson precoder (25) in the transmitter, and an adaptive linear equalizer (53) and a module unit (55) in the receiver.

摘要： A local ISDN radio transmission system is organised as a local radio cell that consists of a central stationary radio station and of a plurality of decentralised subscriber radio sets. The radio transmission system is connected to the access connection elements (ISDN base access ports) of a local central office, subcentre or private branch exchange. The number of radio subscribers is larger than the number of used duplex radio channels. The invention ensures to the radio subscribers a connection with a SO-interface. The radio transmission in the subscriber area allows covering range limitations to be lifted, which otherwise result from attenuation and propagation time problems encountered in the case of wire transmission. According to the invention, the radio transmission arrangement is inserted into a ISDN two-wire access connection circuit with an intermediate repeater, in the section that extends between the intermediate repeater and the network termination. After an activation request, a radio channel is allocated within the carency and monitoring times for activating the ISDN two-wire access connection circuit. In order to ensure an efficient use of the available transmission bandwidth, an independent radio channel for control, organisation and monitoring purposes is dispensed with. The required instructions and information are transmitted in the free radio channels. The subscriber radio sets recognize free channels thanks to a special arrangement of the synchronisation word that differs from that of the ISDN transmission.
