    • A circulation protection device is provided for a conveyor-driven fabric dyeing machine that includes a machine body having a front end in which a fabric circulation detection idler and a fabric movement sensor are mounted and a rear end in which a rear fabric guide and a fabric management device are mounted. Control is conducted with a computer program so that when the fabric circulation detection idler detects the fabric is not in movement, the conveyor is shut down; and when the fabric movement sensor detects the fabric is moving excessively fast or slow or gets jamming and stopped, the conveyor is controlled to automatically adjust the speed thereof or stops operation. When the fabric falls from a dyeing tube down to a conveyor, the rear fabric guide adjusts an entry angle of the fabric and the fabric management device allows the fabric to be orderly deposited on the conveyor.

    • A rotary washer/extractor for use with textiles and other materials includes a dynamically controlled suspension system for supporting the washer/extractor from a stationary frame to minimize forces exerted onto the frame and transmitted to the floor or other structure supporting the washer/extractor. The suspension system includes a plurality of supports extending between the frame and the washer/extractor at spaced apart locations in relation to the spin axis. At least one of the supports is a variable length member which may be continually adjusted to vary the distance between the frame and the washer/extractor and thereby minimize the forces caused by eccentric masses of textiles and washing fluids contained in the washer/extractor. A force sensor is provided for measuring the force acting between the washer/extractor and the frame. A processor is provided for receiving the measured force and generating an output response for varying the length of the support to minimize the value of the force and its vibratory effect on the frame. The suspension system is particularly useful for rotary washer/extractors having a drum rotating about horizontal as well as vertical axes and is especially adapted for reducing and minimizing vibratory forces.

    • The present invention relates to the treatments, particularly in a gaseous medium, of textile articles accumulated in folds and moving under the effect of their own weight along an inclined surface. According to the process of the invention, the displacement of the article is accompanied by a mobile surface in contact with the upper part of the folds formed by the article; this mobile surface is driven so that it moves at a speed approximately equal to that of the article when said article slides normally along the inclined surface. The mobile surface consits of an endless belt whose outer surface, in contact with the upper face of the folds formed by the article, is at a constant distance from the inclined wall.

The speed of the motor (25) is controlled on the basis of information received to the position of the spring (30), in such a manner as to maintain the yarn tension (T) constant.
