    • An electrically-driven injection molding system with a dual-driving function comprises an electric apparatus with a dual-driving function, a plasticizing unit, an injection unit, an injection carriage, a guide frame, and a base, wherein the electric apparatus with a dual-driving function is connected with the plasticizing unit and the injection unit, the guide frame is connected with the electric apparatus with a dual-driving function and the injection unit, and the electric apparatus with a dual-driving function, the plasticizing unit, the injection unit, the injection carriage, and the guide frame are installed on the integral base. An injection molding method is realized using the system. The system has an obviously simplified and compact structure, thus reducing the manufacturing cost, lowering the energy consumption, obviously extending the service life of the motors and ball screws, and making easy to popularize. The system provides some new ideas and innovation for developing next generation of the electrically-driven injection molding machines.

    • The extruder screw drive has a first and a second motor, a screw mechanism connected to the first motor and to the extruder screw for translating it in the extrusion cylinder, and a slide mechanism connected to the second motor and to the extruder screw for rotating it in the extrusion cylinder. The screw mechanism and the slide mechanism are coaxial and partially fit into one another to provide an axially compact arrangement. The motors can be hollow shaft electric motors axially aligned together, and pressure regulated hydraulic axial force can be added to the extruder screw during plasticating as it retracts due to increased volume of plastic at an output end of the extrusion cylinder.

    • An injection unit for injection molding machines includes an extruder as plasticizing unit and a plunger-type injection molding device that can be coupled to the injection molding machine by an injection nozzle. The plunger-type injection molding machine has an injection plunger, wherein the area in front of the injection plunger forms an injection space which is connected to a forward end of the extruder by a melt channel, with a shutoff valve disposed in the melt channel. The extruder can be continuously operated and has one or more plasticizing screws for plastification, wherein the extruder is so configured that a backup length is able to increase backwards into the extruder, when the shutoff valve is closed.

    • An injection unit for a plastic injection molding machine having a screw, having a motion spindle as first drive element, via which the screw can be rotationally driven for the plasticization and is movable in the axial direction for the injection, having a spindle nut as second drive element, which is coupled to the motion spindle via a motion screw thread, having a large electric motor which is arranged so as to be fixed to the frame and by which, while one drive element is held against rotation, the other drive element can be rotationally driven for moving the screw during the injection, and having a device which is arranged so as to be fixed to the frame and by which a rotational speed of the one drive element can be preset during the plasticization, this rotational speed being different from the rotational speed at which the large electric motor simultaneously drives the other drive element. In a known injection unit of this type, two equally large electric motors, which can both apply a large torque, are used, by which such a counter-torque is exerted on the motion spindle during the injection operation that the motion spindle does not rotate. On the whole, the known injection unit is quite expensive on account of the two electric motors designed for a high torque. In order to provide a more cost-effective injection unit, the drive element held against rotation during the moving of the screw for the injection can be locked by a releasable mechanical brake.

    • An injection unit in which an offset load is not applied to a ball screw for moving an injection screw. A pusher plate is provided that is moved while being guided by guide rods extending between front and rear plates, and is mounted with the injection screw and the ball screw so as to be rotatable but axially immovable. The ball screw is threadedly engaged with a nut mounted to the rear plate so as to be unrotatable and axially immovable. A support plate is coupled through coupling rods to the pusher plate. The ball screw has another end supported on the support plate in a rotatable but axially immovable manner. The pusher and support plates are supported on a base by linear motion guides. The ball screw is supported at its both ends by the pusher and support plates so as not to be tilted, whereby no offset load is produced and the service life is prolonged.

    • An injection molding machine having an injection plunger (21) capable of moving back and forth within an injection chamber (22) includes a scraper ring (23) attached to one end of an injection cylinder (2) having a hole penetrated by the injection plunger. Preferably, the injection plunger has a shank (21b) and a head (21a) which forms the tip of the injection plunger and which has a diameter larger than the shank and slightly smaller than the injection chamber; the protuberance of the scraper ring has a diameter which is slightly larger than the shank and smaller than the head.
