A raw material chip for oral tobacco, includes a tobacco raw material composition including tobacco particles, water, and an additive, and a water-soluble edible film, the tobacco raw material composition and the water-soluble edible film being laminated, wherein outer surfaces of the raw material chip for oral tobacco are composed of a surface composed of the tobacco raw material composition, and a surface composed of the film.

摘要： A dispenser for dispensing a metered amount of liquid into a porous plug includes a casing which has an inlet passage adapted to receive a manually insertable porous plug. A reservoir disposed in the cavity contains the liquid. The reservoir has an outlet which is communicable with the inlet passage. A discharge mechanism disposed in the casing is actuable in response to the insertion of a porous plug into the inlet passage for producing a pressurized air flow which bears against a piston in the reservoir for discharging a metered amount of the liquid from the reservoir into the porous plug. The plug could constitute a filter attached to a tobacco column.

摘要： A portioned moist tobacco product with a super-hydrated membrane coating and method of manufacturing is disclosed. The super-hydrated membrane coating is formed by ionic cross-linking using two polymers. The soluble component of the super-hydrated membrane coating dissolves upon placement in the mouth, while the insoluble component maintains the tobacco within the coating for the duration of the use of the product. The moist tobacco product is soft and flexible so as to fit comfortably in an oral cavity when placed therein.

摘要： A method and apparatus for sorting a gas-driven stream of generally flat and light-weight articles of varying dimensions execute a, preferably optical, inspection and upon so finding a non-conforming article remove the latter from the stream. In particular, the inspection and the sorting are executed during a substantially straight movement of the articles. The removing is executed through gas driving in a direction substantially transverse to the straight movement. Advantageously, the inspection is preceded by orienting the articles through a centrifugal force that orients said articles against an inclined wall in a transition to the vertical movement. Also airflow means (83,84) can be used to confine the articles in a thin layer.

In order to stiffen the conveyor slats, a reinforcing slat is preferably mounted to each conveyor slat, and provides a slat assembly which has pronounced resistance to bending. Alternatively, a roller is mounted beneath the conveyor slat which is movable along a support to prevent bending of the conveyor slats, or a partial reinforcing slat is provided for riding on an elongated support.
