摘要： A tape rewinding device for manually rewinding video cassette tapes includes a rectangular housing having an open face communicating with a hollow interior portion dimensioned to receive a video cassette tape. A pair of sprockets are mounted for rotation in the housing and are dimensioned for engagement with spool drive openings of a video cassette tape. An upwardly extending cylindrical pin in the housing is disposed for engagement with a spool lock clutch of a video cassette tape. A shallow rectangular recess formed in the back face of the housing is separated from the hollow interior by a partition wall and encloses a gear mechanism for rapidly rewinding a video tape. A manually actuated drive shaft extends through a cover plate disposed over the recess and is connected to a manual crank.

摘要： Apparatus for inspection and repair of recording tape cassettes, particularly videotape cassettes, includes a base having a recess for stationarily receiving the cassette housing and an adjacent channel for receiving and maintaining the tape cover in open dispostion, and a tape advance mechanism having a pair of drive hubs engageable with the tape reels and a clutch release pin simultaneously engageable with the cassette's clutch mechanism to permit manual advance of the tape in either forward or reverse directions. A pair of spindles are mounted on the base in spaced relation to permit a medial extent of the tape to be withdrawn and trained sequentially about the spindles to maintain a portion of the tape transiently exposed for visual inspection during manual advance of the tape. The apparatus is particularly suited for locating and correcting twists, wrinkles, tears, cuts, etc. in the tape of the cassette.

The blade portion is tapered downwardly to the end of the winding tool and has a pair of diametrically opposed keys or flutes which fit into the space between adjacent sprocket teeth, and which is dimensioned to bear against the end surface of the sprocket teeth and the interior surface of the sprocket when the blade portion is inserted into the sprocket about one-half of its length.

摘要： A hand-operated device for transferring magnetic recording tape from one hub to the other in a cassette of such tape comprises a housing containing parts of transmission means between an operating handle and a projection, both outside the housing. The projection is designed to extend into a hole through the cassette and co-operate with the inwardly directed teeth on one hub to drive it. The projection rotates at a greater speed than does the operating handle. Preferably another projection simultaneously extends into another hole through the cassette but does not interfere with the rotation of the other hub.
