    • It is intended in an apparatus for successively making plastic bags that a plastic film 1 is cut by a Thomson blade 3 without making the Thomson blade 3 pressed with a large force. The Thomson blade 3 is brought into contact with the plastic film 1 on one of opposite sides of the plastic film 1 in a direction of thickness thereof while a rolling member 4 is brought into contact with the plastic film 1 and rolled and moved along the plastic film 1 and the Thomson blade 3 on the other side of the plastic film 1 in the direction of thickness thereof. The plastic film 1 is therefore sandwiched between and cut by the Thomson blade 3 and the rolling member 4 to successively make plastic bags.

    • Apparatus for dispensing sheet material from a sheet material dispenser are described. Dispenser embodiments include drive and tension rollers supported within a housing forming a nip therebetween. Pulling of sheet material through the nip and against the drive roller rotates the drive roller. Dispenser embodiments may include a cutting mechanism powered by drive roller rotation with an improved carrier-supported blade permitting highly-efficient dispenser operation. Dispenser embodiments may include a sheet material tail length adjuster which permits the attendant to shorten or lengthen the tail length extending away from the dispenser. Dispenser embodiments may further include a sheet material conservation feature which imposes a delay between dispense cycles encouraging use of a single sheet of material and discouraging sheet material waste.

    • A power-operated toilet paper dispensing device for automatically providing a desired quantity of existing toilet paper as needed by a user may include a housing adapted to be affixed to a support surface. Further, the device may include a plurality of spindles situated within the housing. Each of the spindles may receive and support a corresponding roll of toilet paper. A mechanism may be included for automatically and independently rotating each of the spindles along a corresponding first rotational path defined within the housing. Such a mechanism may be automatically responsive to a triggering event such that a first one of the spindles automatically and independently articulate along the corresponding first rotational path while a second one of the spindles remains statically disposed at a fixed position within the housing. Additionally, the automatically and independently rotating mechanism may automatically detect the triggering event at a location exterior of the housing.

    • There is provided a sheet processing apparatus capable of preventing the roll sheet cut by the cutting device from falling over to the sheet processing apparatus and improving the conveyance capability of the roll sheet when the long size roll sheet is made. Long size roll sheet is fixed at three spots, wherein the three spots are the top edge portion of the roll sheet receiving portion, the top edge portion on the downstream side of the regulatory member, and the bottom edge portion of the projecting portion. The bottom edge portion of the projecting portion is constructed to be always located inside a circular arc which starts from a center O with a maximum radius R of the roll sheet, wherein the circular arc passes the top edge portion of the roll sheet receiving portion and the top edge portion on the downstream side of the regulatory member.
