摘要： A method and system of controlling at least one printbar in a printing system are described. The printing system has one or more of printbars (160, 190) distributed along a media transport. A first image including a reference pattern (240A, 240B) is generated on a print medium (150) with a first printbar (160). A detector (180) then detects a pattern on the print medium. The reference pattern and the detected pattern are used to determine a position of the first image relative to a second printbar (190). This position is used to configure nozzle data for a second image to be generated on the print medium by the second printbar.

摘要： An image reading device includes: a moving body that moves to convey at least any of a light source that irradiates a document, a reflecting member that reflects reflected light from the document, and a photoelectric conversion element that performs photoelectric conversion on the reflected light; a driving unit that drives the moving body such that the moving body moves from a stop position to a target stop position in a sub-scanning direction; a detecting unit that is arranged at a position away from the target stop position in the sub-scanning direction, and detects arrival of the moving body; and a control unit that controls the driving unit such that the driving unit is switched from a state of being driven in a synchronizing operation region to a state of being driven in a self-starting region before the detecting unit detects arrival of the moving body.

The control unit moves the carriage to a first position at which the white reference member is provided, cause the reading unit to read the white reference member, moves the carriage to a second position that is an acceleration start position for accelerating toward the reading start position of the document positioning plate, and waits for a reading start instruction input from the input unit.

摘要： A method of processing image data from a multi-chip array with a plurality of photosensitive chips aligned substantially in a transverse direction, including: generating, using a processor for at least one specially programmed computer, a Δy or Δx optical error value equal to a difference in process and transverse directions, respectively, between actual and apparent locations for a first photosensor, the apparent location due to optical error; and storing, in a memory element for the specially programmed computer, respective outputs from the photosensors in the array for first and second scan lines. The actual location is included in the first scan line. The processor retrieves, for use as at least part of useful image data for the first photosensor, the stored output of: the first photosensor for the second scan line for a Δy optical error, or a second photosensor for the first line for a Δx optical error.
