    • Zero adjustment of second information in an electronic timepiece is carried out upon receiving a command from the operator through a zero adjust switch. Increment one is performed on minute information when the second information is above a predetermined value, for example, twenty-four seconds when the zero adjustment command is generated. The reference signal frequency is automatically corrected by detecting the second information when the zero adjustment command is generated, in such a manner that the reference signal frequency is increased to render the timepiece faster when the second information is above the predetermined value, and the reference signal frequency is decreased to render the timepiece slower when the second information is below the predetermined value when the zero adjustment command is generated. A duration counter is preferably provided for detecting a time period initiating upon generation of a zero adjustment command and terminating upon generation of the following zero adjustment command. The correction of the reference signal frequency is not carried out when the duration detected by said counter is greater than a predetermined value, for example, one month in order to inhibit the frequency correction when it is not desirable.

    • A time adjusting system for an electronic timepiece has a discriminating circuit for discriminating between an advanced signal appearing during the first 30 seconds of a minute and a delayed signal appearing during the latter 30 seconds of the minute. In the advanced state, the supply of 1 HZ pulses to the time-measuring device is temporarily stopped for a time equivalent to the duration of the advanced time thereby delaying the time. In the delayed state, time adjusting pulses higher in frequency than the 1 HZ pulses are supplied to the time-measuring device in a number equal to the duration of the delayed time thereby advancing the time.

    • An electronic watch comprising a precision resonator and oscillator connected to a frequency divider which produces impulses of 1 H.sub.z. Connected to the frequency divider in sequence is a seconds counter, a minutes counter, an hour counter and possibly a day counter. An electronic means serves for displaying the state of the counter, and a microswitch including an actuator activated externally of the watch by finger pressure, acts to reset the seconds counter to zero and acts concurrently on all or part of the divider, independently of the minutes and hours counters, the actuator being isolated from or combined with the normal device to reset the time or correct the date. The seconds counter is constructed as a series of counter units, the last of which is a binary counter and all of the units are reset to zero when the switch is closed. In this way errors of thirty seconds or less can be corrected by acting on the actuator.
