    • An apparatus for adjusting a digital setting value at a variable speed includes an up key and a down key for generating a plurality of up and down pulses, an input/output interface connected to the up key and the down key, a processor connected to the input/output interface, and a display. The processor, in which a default digital setting value is stored, receives the up pulses and the down pulses through the input/output interface. The processor adds an adjustment value to or subtracts the adjustment value from the default digital setting value according to a time interval between adjacent two of the up pulses or adjacent two of the down pulses so as to obtain a digital output value to be outputted to the display, which displays the digital output value. The adjustment value increases as the time interval decreases.

    • An electronic clock is disclosed having a time indicating light display on the clock face with the light display being provided by a plurality of light emitting diodes positioned to form three spaced concentric rings for separately indicating time in seconds, minutes and hours. An input signal having a frequency of 60 hertz is frequency divided to provide a signal having a frequency of one hertz that is coupled to a seconds decoder connected to a first 6.times.10 LED matrix. One pulse per minute is provided from the seconds decoder to a minutes decoder that is connected to a second 6.times.10 LED matrix, and one pulse per hour is provided from the minutes decoder to an hours decoder that is connected with a 1.times.12 LED matrix. Each of the outer and middle concentric rings at the clock face includes 60 LEDs while the inner ring includes 12 LEDs with energization of an LED in the inner ring indicating the hour, energization of an LED in the middle ring indicating the minute, and energization of an LED in the outer ring indicating the second. The decoders utilize multistage Johnson counters which enable the use of the needed LED matrix, and circuitry is also provided for holding the second indication while advancing the minute and hour indications for setting the clock. A light simulated pendulum is provided for the electronic clock by successive energization of a plurality of LEDs positioned in an arc. For pendulum simulation, a multiplexer receiving the outputs from a counter is connected with a 1.times.10 LED matrix.

    • An electronic timepiece having a liquid crystal display for displaying a time standard signal which is supplied thereto is provided. A light source for lighting the liquid crystal display is disposed proximate thereto. A time correcting circuit including manually operated switches is coupled to an electronic divider circuit which supplies the timing signal to the display to correct the displayed digits of time counted thereby. The time correcting circuit is provided with a safety switch which in a first position allows a correction switch to effect correction of a displayed digit and in a second position protects against inadvertent time correction and allows the lighting of the light source to make the digital display readable in the darkness.
