摘要： A projection device is provided for finally displaying a clear desired target image while shortening time until the target image is displayed, the projection device including: a light source; a spatial modulation element reflecting light from the light source by a display unit displaying a phase distribution of a target image; a modulation element control means that performs, in parallel by different arithmetic units, first processing of generating a phase distribution of the target image and second processing of generating a phase distribution of the target image by processing with a calculation cost higher than the first processing, and displays a phase distribution generated by the second processing on a display surface of the spatial modulation element after displaying a phase distribution generated by the first processing on a display surface of the spatial modulation element; and a projection means that projects reflected light from the spatial modulation element.

摘要： A method and apparatus for correcting a distortion of a holographic display. The method includes tracking a location of a viewing window by tracking a location of a pupil of a user and calculating a central location of the viewing window, generating a wavefront aberration by determining an object point and an image point based on a location of a light source and the central location of the viewing window and using ray tracing, and calculating a complex aberration light field using the generated wavefront aberration. Thus, a quality of a holographically reproduced image in a viewing window-based holographic display may be improved.

摘要： A compact and light-weight lens-free platform to conduct automated semen analysis is disclosed. The device employs holographic on-chip imaging and does not require any lenses, lasers or other bulky optical components to achieve phase and amplitude imaging of sperm a relatively large field-of-view with an effective numerical aperture of approximately 0.2. A series of digital image frames is obtained of the sample. Digital subtraction of the consecutive lens-free frames, followed by processing of the reconstructed phase images, enables automated quantification of the count, the speed and the dynamic trajectories of motile sperm, while summation of the same frames permits counting of immotile sperm.
