摘要： A breakaway axle coupling assembly attaches to a drive axle of an off-road vehicle. The vehicle drive axle includes first and second elongated axle sections. The first axle section has a proximal end operatively connected to the vehicle differential and an opposite distal end. The second axle section has a proximal end operatively connected to a wheel of the vehicle and an opposite distal end. The breakaway axle coupling assembly incorporates first and second couplers located at the distal ends of the first and second axle sections, and including a shear pin joining the first and second couplers together at an intermediate stress concentration point in the vehicle drive axle.

A metallic clip is coupled to the outer periphery of the output clutch plate. The metallic clip defines a key way in the output clutch plate.
