摘要： A hold open rod may include: an inner member; an outer member configured to have the inner member slide in and out of the outer member; a locking mechanism including a portion attached to the outer member and a portion attached to the inner member; a locking plug configured to move axially along an axis of the inner, outer members; a locking dog configured to move radially between a locking position and an unlocking position and a release cable operatively connected to the locking plug and configured to move the locking plug to the unlocking position. A method of actuating a lock mechanism on a hold open rod may also be provided.

摘要： A system and method of preventing the fixed side opening of a door from closing along the door jamb of a door frame. A guard device is provided generally comprising a pivoting member, an attachment member, a mounting system and a bumper. The pivoting member has a first end and a second end. An attachment member and bumper attach to the pivoting member. Mounting system connects to the attachment member at a central void. The mounting system connects to a prior art door stop of a door frame such that the guard device can swivel between a first position and a second position. In a first position guard device is proximate door stop such that the door is capable of fully closing against door stop. In a second position guard device is capable of maintaining the fixed side opening of the prior art door assembly. Bumper swivels outward to contact the end of the door. After guard device is engaged in the second position fixed side opening is incapable of narrowing.

A spring is positioned to bias the check strap toward the engagement member. When the engagement member is engaged with the check strap, the check strap maintains the door in an open position. The childproof cabinet latch system generally includes a base, a latch extending outwardly from the base, a catch portion that is adapted to catchably engage an interior surface of a cabinet surrounding an opening in the cabinet, a slot extending through the base, and an opening extending through the base and connected to the slot, wherein the width of the first opening is greater than the width of the first slot. The width of the first opening is also greater than a width of a head of a threaded fastener to allow passage of the head of the threaded fastener through the first opening. The width of the first slot is less than the width of the head of the threaded fastener to prevent passage of the head through the first slot.
