    • A prefabricated below-grade foundation wall module includes first and second laterally extending metal tracks, a plurality of longitudinally extending metal studs, an air barrier, and an outer structural layer. The second laterally extending metal track may be spaced from and facing the first laterally extending metal track. One end of the metal studs may be secured to the first metal track and the other end of the metal studs may be secured to the second laterally extending metal track. The air barrier may be secured in an overlaying position on an exterior-facing side of the module. The outer structural layer may be secured in an overlaying position on an exterior-facing side of the air barrier. The outer structural layer may comprise cement board, plywood or both cement board and plywood. A method of building a foundation wall is also described.

    • The embodiments of the invention includes a retrofitting system for the insulation of existing interior walls such as basements; a retrofitting system for the insulation of exterior walls of a structure such as a home needing further insulation without a convenient or economical method to do so within the interior walls. The insulated wall systems of those embodiments provide an economical and efficient method of providing the installation of insulation panels to each of the walls described. The insulation panels are generally of a foam structure supported by horizontal connecting and/or horizontal multi-purpose channels. The horizontal connecting channels and horizontal multi-purpose channels are of a unique design that are easily fastened to an existing wall. In addition to supporting the insulation panels, the channels are structured to provide a moisture gap between the insulation and the existing wall to which they are mounted. The horizontal connecting channels and horizontal multi-purpose channels also provide for wire chase areas for power distribution with a wall system.

    • A load bearing wall system which is made from a plurality of interlocking panels. Each panel includes a hollow panel body having a first end, a second end, and an interior cavity. A male coupling is positioned at the first end and a female coupling is positioned at the second end. The female coupling is capable of interlocking with the male coupling of another of the plurality of interlocking panels. The male coupling houses a structural stud that extends for the entire vertical height of the hollow panel body. The interior cavity of the hollow panel body is filled with insulation. Interlocking panels intended for straight sections have the female coupling opposed to the male coupling in a linear alignment. Interlocking panels intended for a corner or change in direction have the hollow panel body bent so that the female coupling is angularly offset from the male coupling.

    • The present invention encompasses a process for initially combining and thereafter uniting two or more modular units to one another in order thus combined to be able to form a house body, for instance a cellar-adapted house body. A liquid-resistant layer is advantageously wholly or partly to be able to cover a base slab and in any event lower wall sections allocated to the wall portion, proximal the base slab, in order principally to prevent damp permeation. A first modular unit, with in any event a first open wall portion, is placed on a substrate prepared within a building site, a second modular unit, with in any event a second open wall portion, is placed on the substrate prepared within the building site, so that an open wall portion allocated to the first modular unit will connect to an open wall portion allocated to the second modular unit. The base slab of the one modular unit and the base slab of the second module form a free space defined by the mutually facing edges of the base slabs. The base slab of the one modular unit is connected, with the aid of a tractive force absorbing reinforcement, to the base slab of the second module over the free space and that the free space is filled with concrete or the like. The present invention also encompasses a house body thud produced.

    • A relocatable restaurant, method of assembly, and method of use are provided herein. The relocatable restaurant includes a slab positioned at a desired site, a plurality of modules, including in an exemplary embodiment one module for each of a kitchen, a dishwashing and bar, and bathroom facilities. The modules are positionable atop the slab adjacent exterior edges thereof. In an embodiment, a slab can be provided by an existing structure, such as a parking lot. The relocatable restaurant further includes a plurality of partitions sufficient for bridging the modules, at least one partition having a door structure, to create a substantially continuous exterior wall therearound. A roof is provided for the relocatable restaurant with the use of a substantially planar flexible element affixable about the exterior wall. A blower can be used to retain the roof in an upwardly extended state.
