摘要： Copolymers and latex paint compositions using such copolymers that are heat-age stable and provide good adhesion, block resistance, and hiding all while using lower amounts of titanium dioxide are described herein. In one aspect, the heat-age stable compositions include an acrylic, styrene acrylic, vinyl acrylic copolymer or blends thereof including, as additional polymerizable units, at least one polymerizable phosphate surfactant and at least one linear or branched hydrophobic monomer that are both polymerized into the acrylic, styrene acrylic, vinyl acrylic copolymer backbone.

摘要： Provided is a binder for battery electrodes which includes a polymer including: structural units (1) derived from a (meth)acrylate monomer (A) having a hydroxyl group; structural units (2) derived from a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate monomer (B); and structural units (3) derived from a reactive surfactant (C). This binder is used to prepare electrodes, and produce batteries such as lithium ion secondary batteries. Provided are: an aqueous binder which has a low environmental impact, exhibits excellent binding properties, and, notably, does not cause oxidation degradation under an electrode environment; and an electrode and a battery which use said binder.

摘要： The present disclosure provides coating compositions and cured products formed from the coating compositions. The cured products can be formed at high cure speeds from the coating compositions and feature low Young's modulus, high tear strength, and/or high tensile toughness. The cured products can be used as primary coatings for optical fibers. The primary coatings provide good microbending performance and are resistant to defect formation during fiber coating processing and handling operations. The coating compositions include an oligomer, an alkoxylated monofunctional acrylate monomer, and preferably, an N-vinyl amide compound.

摘要： The present invention provides a method of producing core/shell-type fluorescent dye-containing nanoparticles for immunohistochemical staining or live cell imaging, the method including: the step 1 of polymerizing monomers for thermoplastic resin synthesis in the presence of a fluorescent dye and thereby preparing core particles composed of a thermoplastic resin containing the fluorescent dye; and the step 2 of coating the core particles each with a shell layer composed of a thermosetting resin. By the method of producing fluorescent dye-containing nanoparticles according to the present invention, fluorescent dye-containing nanoparticles having a high brightness, whose dye does not elutes into water, physiological saline, culture medium and the like, can be produced, and the fluorescent dye-containing nanoparticles can be effectively utilized in immunohistochemical staining and live cell imaging.

The fluorine-based surfactant cannot structurally generate PFOS or PFOA, which tend to accumulate in the environment and living bodies; even when the fluorine-based surfactant has lower fluorine content than surfactants having a fluoroalkyl group having 8 or more carbon atoms, the fluorine-based surfactant has a higher capability of decreasing surface tension than the surfactants. Accordingly, the fluorine-based surfactant can be suitably used as a leveling agent for a coating composition, a resist composition, or the like.
