摘要： A labelling machine comprises a supply spool support for supporting a spool of label carrying web, a labelling station arranged to remove labels from a label carrying web supported by the supply spool, a take up spool support for supporting web from which labels have been removed, and a first motive apparatus for transporting web from the supply spool support to the take up spool support via the labelling station. The supply spool support, the labelling station and the take up spool support are mounted to a base plate. The base plate includes a first portion which supports the labelling station via a base of the labelling station such that the labelling station extends from the base plate in a first direction, and a second portion. The maximum distance to which the second portion and any component supported by the second portion extend from the base of the labelling station in a second direction is greater than the maximum distance to which the first portion and any component supported by the first portion extend from the base of the labelling station in the second direction, the first and second directions being generally opposite.

摘要： An apparatus is disclosed that provides a storage system designed to allow pickers to easily and efficiently pull products from all portions of the storage system from a single side of the storage system. The storage system includes a first storage rack that has a first plurality of columns and a first platform extending from one of the first plurality of columns. An outer edge of the first platform forms an end of the first storage rack. Positioned adjacent to the first storage rack is a second storage rack with a second plurality of columns and a second platform that extends from one of the second plurality of columns, where an outer edge of the second platform forms an end of the second storage rack. An aisle is formed by a predetermined distance between the outer edges of the first and second platforms.

摘要： A reusable closure system is disclosed for flexible packaging applications. The system generally includes base and lid portions. The base portion can be bonded to underlying package material and includes first and second fields of touch fasteners separated by a multi-layer buffer zone. The buffer zone can be at least in part co-located with a frangible region of underlying package material. In some embodiments, the buffer zone is substantially free of active bonding agent, such that there is little or no active bonding agent overlapping the frangible region. One of the touch fastener fields of the base can be deployed at least partially within the area defined by the frangible region. The other touch fastener field is deployed around the buffer zone. The lid portion can be bonded to the package material and/or base portion, and includes a hinge and another touch fastener field to mate with the base fields.

摘要： A system and method for protecting biological or other material from contamination through the steps of filling, freeze-drying, packaging, storing and use are disclosed. A system can include a flexible container, a membrane configured to transmit air or solvent vapor out of the flexible container, and a membrane frame supporting the membrane and engaged with at least one column member. The at least one column member can be configured to maintain the membrane and the membrane frame a spaced distance from one or more contents received within the flexible container. Upon application of a downward force, the at least one column member can assume a collapsed configuration. A method can include inserting a biological material, for example, into a flexible container, freeze-drying the biological material, moving the freeze-dried biological material to a portion of the flexible container that includes at least one port, and sealing the biological material within the portion.

摘要： The invention provides a label composite that includes a print receptive layer, an intermediate extensible layer, a structural layer, and a primary adhesive. The print receptive layer is adapted to withstand temperatures up to 1200° F. (649° C.) without loss of any of readability, cracking, peeling or edge lifting. The intermediate extensible adhesive layer is provided on one side of the print receptive layer, and the intermediate extensible adhesive layer is capable of surviving temperatures up to 1200° F. The structural layer is adhered on a first side of the structural layer to the intermediate extensible adhesive layer, and the structural layer is adapted to withstand temperatures up to 1200° F. The primary adhesive layer is capable of surviving temperatures up to 1200° F. and is adapted to form a bond between an elevated temperature material and the structural layer of the label composite.

摘要： A method for applying a fold-under label to a substrate comprises the step of feeding to a folding apparatus the fold-under label having a first portion, a second portion extending from the first portion, and a third portion extending from the second portion. The method further comprises the step of causing a folding arm of the folding apparatus to collectively fold the first portion and the second portion behind the third portion by transitioning from a first position to a second position such that an adhesive on the third portion extends through a gap in the second portion. An affixing member of an application apparatus is caused to transition from an initial position to a final position to apply the folded fold-under label to the substrate.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and system for delivering messages, such as advertising messages. Printed labels are provided on drinks container lids, such as takeaway coffee container lids. Providing printed labels has the advantage that the lid does not need to be changed to provide a different message. Only the printed label has to be changed.To facilitate placement of the printed labels on the lids, the present invention also provides a labelling machine which includes delivery apparatus for delivering lids to a labelling position. The delivery apparatus includes a picker arrangement arranged to pick individual lids from a magazine and place them on a conveyer for delivery to the labelling point. It also includes a stacker apparatus for stacking the lids into a magazine for ease of distribution.
