摘要： A box forming apparatus comprising a machine frame, and an outer mould and an inner mould arranged on the machine frame for forming a blank into a box. The outer mould and the inner mould are configured to be movable relative to one another along a pressing direction between an open configuration and a pressing configuration, for receiving the blank between the outer and inner moulds in the open configuration, for subsequently pressing the blank in the pressing configuration to form the box, and for discharging the box in the open configuration after pressing and forming the box. The outer and inner moulds comprise mould element sets of an outer mould element and an associated inner mould element, wherein the outer mould elements define the outer mould and the inner mould elements define the inner mould, and the outer mould element and the inner mould element of each mould element set are movable relative to one another along the pressing direction between positions associated with the open configuration and the pressing configuration, and wherein the mould element sets are movable relative to another along a plane transverse to the pressing direction to allow adjusting to dimensions of the box to be formed.

摘要： A gripper having jaws (11,12) is transported from a first position (FIG. 2) in which it grips a case blank (1) in a flat, folded condition to a second position (FIG. 4) in which the case (8) is erected. Gripping devices (13) on the jaws (11,12) are aligned with one another when the gripper is in its first position. The gripping devices (13) on the jaws (11,12) are oriented at right angles to one another when the gripper is in its second position. Mutual rotation is effected between the jaws (11,12) as the gripper is moved from its first to its second position, in order to unfold a case blank (1) gripped by the gripper jaws (11,12).

The magazine accommodates a plurality of mutually aligned and juxtaposed sheets and the at least one handling element includes an end bracket provided with at least one grip element and at least one assembly with arms which are articulated with respect to the bracket and are independently movable with respect to a fixed frame. The bracket can move between a first configuration of alignment with the end sheet accommodated in the magazine, in the condition where the at least one grip element is in contact with the end sheet, and a second configuration of alignment with a conveyance line of the sheets which corresponds to the delivery region.

The first mandrel has an external shape complementary to an internal shape of at least a first portion of the container, and the second mandrel has an external shape complementary to an internal shape of at least a second portion of the container. The pre-folding assembly is configured to fold a first portion of the blank assembly around the first mandrel to form a partially formed container. The glue panel presser assembly includes a first presser plate configured to form a first manufacturer joint, and a second presser plate configured to form a second manufacturer joint.

The conveying and erecting device gives to the withdrawn box a final erected configuration, in which the box has a parallelogram section. Subsequently, the device transfers the box, at a transferring station, into a pocket of a pocket conveyor. When in use, the pocket has a variable geometry, controlled selectively in the transferring station, to allow the box to be introduced into the pocket.

In other embodiments, the feeder arm (304) has several vacuum ports (308) distributed along its length, to which the vacuum cups (S) can be selectively attached and detached.

The transfer mechanism includes end plates rotated in one angular direction and vacuum cup assemblies rotated therewith and relative thereto in the opposite angular direction. The cup assemblies include transversely opposite cups having adjacent sides less flexible than their remote sides and intermediate cups having buttons therein to form dimples in a carton panel when grippingly engaged. The flight assembly includes guideways to have lugs of flight devices extend into their channels as devices move along the upper run of an endless conveyor. The flight devices include flight bars extending vertically above the lugs as the lugs move in said channels.
