摘要： Articles of manufacture possessing corrosion resistance characteristics are described, in particular for use in the chlor-alkali and other industries. The articles are formed from a resin composition, e.g., a cyclic olefin composition, polymerized with a Group 8 olefin metathesis catalyst. In particular aspects, an electrolytic cell component, such as a cell cover for use in the electrolysis of brine, may be formed from the resin composition. Among other benefits, such articles provide improved corrosion resistance compared to articles molded from other resin compositions, such as fiberglass reinforced polyesters and vinyl esters, and two-component dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) resins comprising molybdenum or tungsten pre-catalysts.

The molding apparatus for molding a sheet that is fed along a first plane and manufacturing a battery tray includes an upper mold configured to press at least a part of the sheet from above the first plane to below the first plane and a lower mold configured to press at least a part of the sheet from below the first plane to above the first plane. It is possible to minimize a thickness of a product in a tray in which depths of battery accommodating grooves are large and to prevent incomplete molding from being generated.

摘要： A sealing element (10) for sealing battery cells (18) of a battery module (34) for the purely electric drive of a motor vehicle has a first sealing disk (12) for a seal-forming attachment between a housing (32) and a first attachment frame (44), a second sealing disk (14) spaced from the first sealing disk (12) for a seal-forming attachment between the housing (32) and a second attachment frame (46), and receptacle pockets (16), connecting the first and second sealing disks (12, 14) for accommodating battery cells (18) therein. The first and second sealing disks (12, 14) and the receptacle pockets (16) are manufactured in one piece from a common sealing material. Thus, the battery cells (18) can be sealed with respect to a cooling medium that flows through the housing (32) thereby avoiding the risk of electrical short-circuits via the cooling medium.

摘要： A method of forming passages of an integral manifold adjacent a cell stack of a flowing electrolyte battery provides enhanced sealing between the manifold and capillary tubes of the cell stack. The method includes forming a mould cavity adjacent the cell stack, with the mould cavity open to capillary openings of cells of the cell stack. A plurality of pins are then located in the mould cavity, with end regions of the pins being contiguous with the capillary openings. The mould cavity is then filled with material and the material is allowed to solidify into a moulded section. The pins are then removed from the moulded section, thereby forming passages in the moulded section which are in fluid communication with the capillary openings.
